I love Kansas City . . . President Bush draws a clear analogy to Vietnam and yet the biggest outcry in Kansas City has to do with people getting their cars towed related to the GW's visit . . . I guess we all have priorities and some faraway war where thousands of soldiers and tens of thousands of innocent civilians have lost their lives isn't as important as our rust bucket. I understand. KSHB brings the details: "Towed and ticketed, several people on the Country Club Plaza are griping about President Bush's visit to the metro. The problem was that the president's motorcade used Roanoke Parkway. As a result, so for security reasons, police made it an emergency no-parking zone and towed several cars overnight"

They do that all the time President Bush comes to Kansas City.
ReplyDeleteCould've been worse--U2 could've have commandeered downtown again to make another music video again...
ReplyDeleteOh come on Tony. This is just outrageous. They changed a LEGAL parking zone and towed all the cars parked there!! I can't even imagine how angry that would make me. Plus they closed TWO interstate highways and many streets in between at RUSH HOUR so el pretzeldente could go eat a biscuit for breakfast.
ReplyDeleteShows how much this asshole cares about ordinary Americans. Who cares if we all needed to get to work yesterday?
PRESIDENT BUSH DOESN'T CARE ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE!
ReplyDelete... I MEAN KANSAS CITY PEOPLE!
ReplyDeleteMan you people with these "jobs" really have to deal with some crap.
ReplyDeleteget off the crying couch every president that comes to kansas city they do the same thing. from interrupting work sites to towing cars and everyone has advance warning. ive been to the vfw convention and was told not to park around bartle but to park in the city garage. so to the ones who wanted to act stupid you got what you deserve. wake up
ReplyDeleteThe people who had their cars towed were parked in a LEGAL parking zone and were not warned. And this wasn't downtown or near Bartle Hall, it was near The Plaza. They weren't acting stupid. They were parking where they always park, and had no idea their cars would be towed. You are the one who is stupid. We went to Bartle Hall on Wed and parked right across the street, no problem. You need to quit making shit up.
ReplyDeletequit crying i drove down thur the plaza and saw all the signs that said no parking you couldnt miss the sign. you can drive thur the plaza or holmes going north or south and find at least 20 cars parked illegally. just because you people on the plaza cant read deserve to get your car towed
