Morrison gambles that he can carry conservative Kansans by continuing to flip flop all over the ideological spectrum
That's why I don't care for fence jumpers . . . You can't count on them for anything . . . And if you can figure out where Attorney General Paul Morrison stands on any issue other than the forward momentum of his career than you're much smarter than I (impossible!) . . . Anyway, his latest move to thwart expanded gambling that most Kansas voters agreed on seems to be yet another way to make people forget that he's a Democrat and his party helped to push the thing through in order to make Wyandotte County nicer (heh).
Update: As with most things I'm probably wrong about this post . . . Every so often the people who write comments in this blog are actually right about a thing or two when they aren't telling me to kill myself. Damn!!!
For that I salute them and offer this KC Biz Journal link that does a better job in explaining the story: Gov. Kathleen Sebelius had suggested in May that a lawsuit would help settle the question; Morrison reviewed the statute and agreed, the release said.
P.S. - Your comments and e-mailsalways very often make this blog better. Thanks!!!

Tony, you're an idiot.
ReplyDeleteThe state (read Gov. Sebelius) wants the law legalizing gambling challenged by Morrison, so the court will uphold it and then the religious nutz won't be able to challenge it through the lower courts.
Tony learn how to read. This is a deliberate attempt to PREVENT a lawsuit challenging the law. Pretty smart move if you ask me.
ReplyDeleteI don't have an argument with either comment.
