Indy school secession has minor setback

The Star reports: "The Jackson County Circuit Court can mandate an addition to the ballot as late as six weeks before the election. That deadline would be Sept. 25.

But taking that long “would make it a real problem, I’ll tell you that,” said Charlene Davis, a director with the Jackson County Board of Election Commissioners.

One complication, she said, is that the last possible date for the court ruling is also the date that election authorities must start issuing absentee ballots."
