This isn't about the Libery Memorial, but its funny that Tony can't post an article about additional parking for downtown. He can't post anything that could be good for downtown and electic avenue especially parking because it will be one less thing Tony can bitch about.

anal ........there is no legal parking for the Sprint Arena.
ReplyDeletehuh? I live 3 blocks away from the center and I'm looking around....
ReplyDeleteLots and lots of pay lots operated by Standard/Central Parking.
If you are going to have a downtown arena parking is going to have to be in many garages around the area. You can't build an urban stadium like the Superdome anymore with parking underneath out of concerns about car bombs.
We could have built this new arena in the west bottoms or out at Truman. We chose to build it downtown so stop complaining about the things that might befall anything downtown.
It currently costs $50 for monthly parking downtown. A season ticket holder could get a pass and save money on what it would cost to park at Truman for Chiefs games.
anal....Oh my God you are right. Oh... what came over me to say there wasn't any legal 4600 parking spaces? I have no idea.
