The (unemployable any place else) hipsters at The Pitch have been following the fate of the UMKC Labor Studies program intently. Reporter turned advocate (and hip-hop groupie) Nadia Pflaum has been spamming local Internet message boards pushing to keep Commie Labor Studies part of the local educational landscape . . . Another interesting tidbit to this non-issue: The director of the program signs her letters "In solidarity" which means that she'd be great at teaching people how to feel slightly uncomfortable about their associations. Fight the Power! - On sale for $2.95 at the Wal-Mart discount music bin.
