KC sports bloggers get Star spotlight

True to form, the Star publishes an article about sports blogs devoted to Kansas City teams and begins their story with a blog from out of town. Still, the piece was pretty informative and local blog "Toellner tells it" thinks it bodes well for the future of the medium as long as blog authors use their "power" wisely - unfortunately well reasoned, informed, fair and thoughtful posts are boring and the most popular entries (nullus) on this site usually contain both cleavage and character assassination (your term, not mine).

Anyway, the only bright spot of the article was that it mentioned one of TKC's favorites: Arrowhead Pride. For me, writing about the Chiefs is akin to examining the culture of Kansas City i.e. great potential that is never fulfilled, heart breaking losses, violent Black guys, inept leadership and largely clueless fans and cheerleaders along with undue influence from Johnson County.

On the other hand, people who blog about the Royals and obsessively follow that team are nothing more than gluttons for punishment and more likely fetishists who have an unhealthy attraction to losing.
