It's a family affair as far as elected office is concerned in this country and according to a recent report by The Star, political dynasties comprised of a few families rule the U.S., in Missouri politics is dominated by the Blunts and Carnahans.
Frankly, I couldn't care less considering that it's hard for me to tell the difference between one Caucasian ruling elite and the next . . . That's why I always vote for the Black guy, the woman, any Latino optimistic enough to find a way on the ballot and against all judges on general principle.
And while the family ties of politicos always make for great media fodder, I can't say the subject really stirs any emotion in me given that voter turnout (in KC at least) continues to be unimpressive and at best most people grumble about the world' injustices to anyone that will take notice and then quickly go back to taking advantage of the cheap labor provided by illegals and Chinese toddlers at several suburban locations . . . Which reminds me that I need to get another supersized, deluxe assortment of snack cakes for the week from my favorite discount outlet . . . And I wonder if they carry adult diapers because sometimes re-runs of Oprah are REALLY interesting.
