Today's draft and maybe tomorrow's as well

The Chiefs choose a wide receiver (no homo) and sadly, with 9 soldiers recently killed in Iraq . . . I wonder if young, football fans aren't going to get more acquainted with another kind of draft that nobody's cheering for . . . Actually, I know there won't be a draft but it also seems really sad that people are dying in a war when most of the world (and this country) thinks the U.S. should be packing its bags in Iraq.

  1. A draft would be an excellent thing for this country.
The army could teach you fucking kids how to pull up your god damned pants, for one thing.

  2. KCI airport, government funded, installed wash basins for muslim cabbies. There are no other accomodations for any other religion.

We are already Dhimmi in our own country. No reason to die for a country that isn't ours anyway.

  3. What facilities do other religions require? Perhaps accomodations for the mainstream faith have already been made and you simply do not want to see them.

    Is that a joke?

The government should not be building ANY religious facilities.

As for accomodations for the 'mainstream faith' I don't recall seeing holy water at KCI or Yarmulkes for sale along side cheesy cow t-shirts at the gift shop.

They bent over and took it because most of the cabbies with badges in this town are Muslim.

I'm doing a favor for the separation of church and state and I'll be throwing a pack of bacon in the basins next time I take a flight. I encourage everyone to 'defile' the basins in a similar manner. No criminal damage, just make them 'dirty'.

  5. I'll bet you find a Christian chappel at the airport. Should I take a squat on the alter there?

Really? I've been to KCI about a thousand times and I've yet to see this elusive 'chapel'.

If there is a prayer room, I doubt it is christian only---remember if nonbelievers use the foot baths they become 'impure'. Your point is worthless.

  7. Prayer room - chapel what's the difference. I'll bet it has a cross. Given that the general population around here is Christian the 'prayer room' is used primarily by Christians. The fact thast you haqve not seen it is indic9ative of how we, as a society, often ignore such things and get upset about a minor consolation to an often ostracized minority religion. The foot cleansing facilities are limited to an area intended for the cabbies working at KCI of which 70% are of middle-eastern descent.

My point about the chapel is valid enough. Christians, unlike Muslims and footbaths, have no belief that the chapels/prayer rooms respectful use by others causes any harm or defilement. Quit looking for a reason to be offended and certainly, At the very least, it is not appropriate for Christians to go out of their way to provoke Muslims by defiling their footbaths or deny them some dignity while they practice their faith. That would be the actions of a bigot.

  8. Mr. Lemming - when you're not picking on me, you are pretty profound.
It's good to see that some people are not offended when life is made a little easier for someone else.
