KC Confidential describes City Hall insider Harry Ingels as Chuck Eddy's right hand man and a "rotten apple" who is now going to be in Russ Johnson's administration. I don't really know the guy but the post offers an interesting perspective on how the incoming City Council isn't going to be a "new" as it seems . . . In fact, because the new Council is comprised of so many women I can promise that just like any glamorous makeover: Only the superficial things will be fixed when the rotten underbelly (ew) is what really needed repair.

You've got a good point, Tony. I always thought council aides were more or less political appointments and once the council person was out of office so was the aide. Not so with Ingels. He was there with John Sharp followed by Judy Swope followed by Chuck Eddy and now Russ Johnson. At least John Sharp knew better than to hire him again.
ReplyDeleteThe reason that John Sharp decided not to hire Ingels is that Sharp got an earful of complaints about him.
ReplyDeleteThe complaints boil down to Ingels being an abusive and arrogant asshole.
What's funny to me is this: Harry and John Sharp go way back and current complaints wouldn't seem to matter much between these two. John and Harry know each other well enough to make this comment a little silly.
