Tony Gonzalez sprained left shoulder last week, he's going to miss the upcoming game against the Raiders and I've noticed that he's just as much a fixture at local clubs as he is in the end zone.
I know there is a potential for "loyal" Chiefs fans to feel some kind of sentiment for the guy but if he was that great then the team would have won a playoff game some time in the last 10 years.
Nope, I don't know about the status of his contract but I doubt it would matter. He would definitely fetch a decent price and his career is clearly on the downward slide. C'mon, he won't even be in the league in 5 years so it's best to get rid of him now. Finally, if the guy is as talented as they say he is then it would be nice to see him win a Superbowl somewhere else (ala Neil Smith), because it'll never happen in KC.
Who should we trade for? My vote: Ocho Cinco if only for all great quotes he would provide local sports writers and he would be a welcome change from that "Nice Guy" schtick that the Chief's front office likes to run on this town.

You need to look at The Big Picture. You need to get your head right! There is much more at stake here than just "winning games".
Tell me Tony. How is it someone that knows nothing about sports has so much to say about them? Every week you have some reason to bitch about sports in KC but most of the time they are completely unfounded.
