Please read this post in order to prepare for the Winter in KC

Seriously, this post is probably the best thing that Mark Forsythe has ever written on his blog and its contents WILL have an impact on Kansas City in only a couple of short months.

I know that so many people don't follow city budgets and or care about infrastructure but this stuff will make a difference when you understand the following . . . Years of 18th and Vine mismanagement are the reason that you'll be stuck in the snow come this winter. Forsythe explains it more succinctly than I can:

Yesterday the City Council approved an emergency measure to settle with Rick Gill for $3 million. That amount pretty much wiped out our contingency funds for snow removal this season so you can thank the 18th & Vine Gang this January when you're hopelessly stuck in a snow drift.

It's not like I need one, but this is yet another reason why I hate jazz other than the fact that it sounds like cats having angry sex.
