U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia Judge Gladys Kessler criticizes local law firm in "a blistering 1,742-page opinion." Follow the link to read a really long article about the history of Shook, Hardy & Bacon and their "zealous" defense of the tobacco industry. It's a nice article but fails to mention how much money (billions) is involved. Confession: A long time ago I took a tiny bit of this money to pay for grad school so I can't really get on a high horse about this one other than to say that this whole debate can be solved if they simply started calling cigarettes "tumor sparks" instead.

I could give 2 shits about the tobacco industry. The real crimes of Shook, Hardy & Bacon involve the RIAA. They were the group of douchebags that sued people for downloading music. I hope they all die in a fire.
