Everyone is a writer

I'm surprised to learn that these Missouri guys don't already know that TV programming is so formulaic that it doesn't even need writers anymore. The story of a man breaking his brother out of prison was probably not stolen but most likely generated by a soulless computer that has an intimate knowledge of audience preferences i.e. sounds like any entertainment executive I've ever read about . . . Also, the show is horribly unrealistic if it involves prison but doesn't so much as mention ass rape . . . Which is the only deterrent to crime that ever convinced me that I didn't want to spend any time in jail.
