I like Dan but I have to disagree. All of the local sports fans are discussing the high percentage of overtime games won in the first possession in the same way that they whined about Robert Geathers putting a perfectly clean hit (read: hurting) on the NFL's biggest Bush cheerleader but that's only because they didn't get that home town pass interference call that the Chiefs usually need to win any close game.
Also, I think you'll find that the high percentage of overtime games won on the first possession is probably akin to the same advantage that a team garners by having a decent front office that doesn't simply hire old cronies to fill important coaching jobs.
The Herman Edwards Firing Watch begins today.
Tony,
ReplyDeleteI have to side with Dan on this one. Even if the Chiefs had won the toss and kicked a field goal I still think it is unfair. Bring on the college rule. It's pretty exciting and in most cases some of the best offense you'll see.
