This silly soccer debate is actually starting to get interesting. I wonder if suburbanites are going to get suckered into developers promises and head down the same path that has only created an economic boom for real estate developers in KC and no one else.

So Hunt gets the millions for the stadium fix up and then unloads the soccer team to some fools from South KC who are smart enough to not waste their own money and they take the team to Beige County so that the sloe eyed soccer moms can have a place to hang out. Is it GOOD for the children?? The winners are Hunt who of course has not really sold the team he is hiding until the deal is done. The additional investors who will get a stadium eventually without paying any money and the land owners who own all of the land the Childrens soccer field area , the stadium area, and a 100 acres they will build into retail shops for upscle shops. The key is to turn the rocky farm pasture into a "destination" sothat they can get Kansas Star Bonds to build an off ramp or other wise the pasture is worthless and the kids soccer fields will be to far away from 69 to matter. A house of cards that a breath of fresh air could blow over but the lies and beige county jive will probably hold it together.

ReplyDeleteThe vote is about building a youth soccer park. Those that are against it because they are against taxes in general or they don't want it in their back yard will lie to mislead people into voting no.
I suggest that you become an informed voter before you try to defeat something that would be excellent for the area.
