I know that when I envision this city, I think of a town comprised only of people who can afford condos costing no less than a quarter of a million dollars.
Once again KC is featured in the luxury living promoting Dwell magazine. Funny thing is, within walking distance of this sexy ass urban home, there are homeless people living under the bridges with a view that is slightly better if they can lift their head after taking yet another hit of their preferred illicit substance.
Anyway, the feature profiles the work of El Dorado Architects who are working nearly as hard as Mayor Country Club Kay to ensure that this city is out of your price range.
For the record, this kind of elitist magazine hype is exactly why so many of us will be opening (8 buck) champagne when the real estate bubble finally bursts in this town. Word to all the empty lofts and downtown condos - way more than you think.

Yes, the last thing urban KC needs is taxpayers with money. It's a lot better to have the mostly-poor residents paying for all the city's infrastructure.
ReplyDeleteKC has style, and like everyone else could always use a little bit more...if it doesn't cost too much and destroy the environment and communities.
