Personally, I hate most new arrivals to this city but if you ask anybody in social service about local increases in child abuse, substance abuse, domestic violence and just plain pain in the ass problems . . . They will all tell you there is a direct correlation to the influx of Katrina refugees in KC. Do your own research while The Star simply focuses on feel good stories regarding white people.

Not all of those stories were about white people (although the accompanying pictures seemed to indicate otherwise), but I do have to wonder if the new KCMO Superintendent was responsible for the "lousy" New Orleans school district that the one woman was glad her children had escaped.
