Royals fans are out of it

A wonderfully desperate post from a local blogger and Royals fan laments:

"And despite a season-long duel with the Pittsburgh Pirates, it appears the KC has triumphed in the bid to be the worst team in MLB this year."

It's an important achievement and anything less would have been used not only to sell more season tickets but also to probably raise taxes or make sure that even more parking money went straight to the County. As long as the Royals are the worst team in baseball there's always less danger of them trying to get a better deal here or someplace else . . . In much the same way that you should only start worrying that your spouse is cheating if they begin to change their underwear more often or lose weight.
