Buck, the trend, this town and sports writers with forked tongues

Leave it to Dallas Penn to write one of the most insightful posts regarding the rejection of Buck O'Neil to the Hall of Fame. Seriously, the post penned by Dallas offers an amazing history lesson about a few players who had it even harder than KC's favorite Black baseball player (non-Dominican category).
All this liberal boohooing and handwringing is coming from the very same sportswriters that have elected NOT to vote BUCK into baseball's prestigious Hall of Fame. Well if all of you sage and just writers really wanted this old codger to be able to smell the roses while he was still breathing you would have voted for him. No sense in giving a Black any credit while they are alive anyhoo I guess. Just look at how 3-6-MAFIA acted.
It's true and it's also important to realize that if Jason Whitlock is your biggest ally (figuratively and not regarding his big fat ass) than you're really dealing with a lost cause. Of course, I think it's important we celebrate the baseball history of this town even if it's not in the Hall of Fame . . . Seeing as how the Royals season is history around June and this time of year is usually when the worst team in baseball is around 100 games back.
