The anti-immigrant crowd is filled with losers

I was thinking of Pat Buchanan's latest trashy novel and how it relates to Kansas City . . . Also, I think I know why the propaganda piece fails to inspire in me the kind of fear that's normally elicited by Fox News . . . Thing is, I've been to a few local anti-immigrant gatherings and they are usually filled to the brim with losers. Really, these are loners, nerds, (beautiful) angry white women and old men. They are not people who you would want to hang out with, these are people that make NASCAR fans look like royalty.

Case in point, Krazy Kris Kobach is still trying to recover from his inconceivable loss to Dem Dennis Moore in a Republican district. Now, he's just another crazy ass UMKC professor (one of many) that must be endured by his students trying to graduate on to chasing ambulances. Put simply, a tall good looking white guy like that (No homo) would have gone much farther by now had his hate not held him back. Let's not forget our local retired law officer who didn't earn a decent enough pension to relax during his retirement and will instead spend his golden years angry, taking photos of brown people and in the company of a bunch of "minute" men - a description which would only make white guys proud.

Let's not forget that Pat Buchanan hasn't had a real job since the 80's.

On the other end of the spectrum, hanging out with my mojado brethren during the immigrant rights marches was like going to a picnic. There were families, kids, music, punk teenagers and plenty of giant Latina asses which made me feel right at home. It was just as much of a party as a protest.

So I'm not scared in the least that some angry Irishman is selling a lot of books to people who just want them to display in order to scare any minority who enters their home. Politics, capitalism and this country were built upon halfway intelligent people taking advantage of losers who let ideology blind them to the self interest of people who are just a little more shrewd . . . I know that I'm a lot more upbeat about the War in Iraq when I think of the benefit to Dick Cheney's financial interests.
