One of KC's Top 20 conventions leaves town

This year's Students in Free Enterprise convention drew about 4,000 visitors, who spent an estimated $2.2 million over three days. After an 18th consecutive year in KC, they're leaving for Dallas with a vague lie mention that they might come back someday. Of course, you'd be a fool to trust business students but the fact that they skipped town certainly shows that they don't feel that this city is worth the investment for their conference. Meanwhile, I'm sure if anybody bothered to ask our beloved Country Club Kay about the departure I'm sure she'd propose luxury lofts in order to accommodate the convention, if they ever came back . . . Subsidized by TIF money of course.
