"No one ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public"

I guess H.L. Mencken really wasn't that smart considering that he's dead but he did make a good point.

The news that Taylor Hicks is the winner of this year's American Idol is weird enough to make we want to go smack a Puerto Rican broad just to get back at Paula Abdul.

I only watch American Idol during the first few episodes to see the really bad acts and then I lose interest but clearly Hicks is the one that got away from the early cuts.

Truly, there is no accounting for taste and unfortunately this gives all of those losers down at Harrah's Lucky Break yet another excuse to keep annoying their relatives and ruining Top 40 songs. So, thank you America . . . We don't agree on much but the fact that all pop stars should have no talent and their success should be inexplicable.
