The Tracy Pierce story still seems to anger local news watchers. Local blogger Dan delivers a deadly dose of bad PR:
If you work for First-Health Coventry, you need to think about how you are spending your life. If you own stock in First-Health Coventry, you should be ashamed of yourself. If you are insured by First-Health Coventry, your life is in danger.I agree with Dan 100% but I'm also a little bit saddened (but not surprised) by the fact that making profits in this world requires a whole lot of pain. Insurance, tobacco, big oil, big pharma (i.e. drug dealers), the diamond industry, government, lawyers, women's shoes and even my beloved porn all rake in their huge earnings in no small part because of the world's suffering. They don't tell you this in school but it seems like the best way to make a lot of money is to find a way to legally kill somebody or a lot of people for even more profits. Yes, that's bad news for humanity but on the bright side I think that the time and attention I've devoted to perfecting my suicide/massage booth will be well rewarded.
i actually got a letter from Coventry (my heath insurance provider) whining about the 'inaccuracies' in the Channel 9 story. I'm tempted to wipe my ass with it and send it back.
