"Kansas’ animal cruelty law is woefully inadequate"

From today’s hokey column by Mike Hendricks: “In the state of Kansas, an individual may beat, mutilate and even kill a dog or cat and receive nothing more than a slap on the wrist.”

If this seems harsh, then you’ve never had a dog shit on your new sofa. Additionally, does it make much sense to send a person to jail where they will likely endure the same treatment?

I’ve noted the stupidity of Scruffy’s Law several times in this blog but I can only make so many jokes about Korean food and the necessity of tenderizing any animal before you eat it.

And now this hilarious line that nearly ruined my keyboard with orange juice shooting out of my nose:

However, she does know that animals don’t deserve to be mistreated the way they are sometimes.

LOL! Great, this Star columnist advocates legislative action from the State of Kansas on behalf of a woman who is haunted by strange sex dreams.
