First Steps

The parents of Missouri's disabled children must now shoulder the burden of the state's budget as well. All joking aside, everyone who voted for Matt Blunt should be ashamed.
The Missouri House on Wednesday changed the state's First Steps program to require parents of disabled toddlers to share the cost of their children's therapy.

If this is compassionate conservatism, then I now truly know the meaning of the phrase "kill'em with kindness." To Matt Blunt: Every advantage you've been given in your life and you couldn't give Missouri's most challenged citizens a break? You wanted to completely get rid of the program but then just settled for a cut in funding in your typical cowardly political style. Hope you sleep well in the Governor's mansion. The rest of us will pray that you won't be there for long. (The Star)
