The Star reviews George Brett's place on the Plaza but doesn't rate all of the 30-something skanks who dwell in the dark corners of the establishment. I give them all a solid 6 or a 9 if I had a time machine that could take me back 15 years to look at them before they were trampled by life and lying men.

Here's an excerpt of the review so you don't have to go to thru the shitty KC Star registration:

For a spell the food didn't come close to matching the style and celebrity drawing power of the place. Portions were small, burgers were overcooked and service was scattered. But based on three recent visits, it seems the kitchen and crew have it together. . .

For those whose want to meet the man behind the name, Brett comes to the restaurant several times a month. I made one of my visits during the Big 12 tournament, and when two Iowa State basketball fans heard that "George" wasn't in that night, their disappointment was palpable.

After all, this local sports hero is still Kansas City's favorite celebrity. Only time and plenty of man-to-fan contact will tell how long this place will stay on Kansas City's list of hot spots.

In other words, "Come for the nachos, stay for the coke ho's." I'm sure the place will do fine.
