Forrest Gump would say that journalism is like a box of chocolates, “You never know what you’re gonna get.” But Forest was a blathering idiot and that movie was a nearly masturbatory self-absorbed opus for the baby boom generation. In truth, journalists are surprisingly similar to prostitutes. Hell, some journalists who once found favor with the Bush administration might have actually been high priced male escorts.

Similarly, The news that Emanuel Cleaver will no longer offer consultant fees to reporters who also cover him is just another example that Washington D.C. doesn’t make politicians crooked, they were already corrupt when they arrived.
