Building all that subsidized retail just south of it by the city of Independence sure didn't help.
Now the mall can be left to slowly empty and die and a brand new "developer" can swoop in, tear it down, and develop it with...
tax breaks, tax exemptions, TIFs, CIDs, and whatever else the Missouri legislature can invent to screw the taxpayers and create yet another "public/private partnership" where the public gets all the risk and the "investors" take all the profits.

A mall purchase seems like a great idea in 2018.

Also, I didn't use a rubber because I thought, "when am I ever gonna be in Haiti again?"

That mall made so much money they can afford to dump it on the tax payers.
