KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Police need your help identifying suspects and locating stolen motorcycles from around the city. Police say two men captured in a surveillance video near 10th and Wyandotte, loaded a motorcycle onto a trailer and drove away. The thieves stealing the bike while cars passed and people walked by.

Blue Springs house fire likely ignited by fireworks, leaving family's home a total loss

BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. -- Firefighters say a neighbor's fireworks are likely to blame for a house fire in Blue Springs over the weekend. It happened on Northeast 3rd Street. Family members said they believe the home is a total loss. "There's not one room that's not completely destroyed," said Chuck Coppenbarger, whose mother lived at the house.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Kansas City, Kansas Fire Department inspectors are working late to keep the more than 40 fireworks stands in the city in compliance. There are a few things stands can't sell: bottle rockets sky rockets missile-type rockets unmanned aerial lanterns When inspectors like Kelli Littlefield show up, they make sure stands are a proper distance away, fire extinguishers are present and no prohibited items are being sold.

A Louisiana-based fried chicken chain has ordered up another area location. Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers broke ground on its fourth Kansas City-area restaurant at 8771 N. Ambassador Drive near Zona Rosa and plans an October opening. The restaurant made its first foray into the Kansas City metro in May 2016, with a location in Blue Springs.
