Police say two men captured in a surveillance video near 10th and Wyandotte, loaded a motorcycle onto a trailer and drove away. The thieves stealing the bike while cars passed and people walked by.

Family members said they believe the home is a total loss. "There's not one room that's not completely destroyed," said Chuck Coppenbarger, whose mother lived at the house.

A Louisiana-based fried chicken chain has ordered up another area location. Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers broke ground on its fourth Kansas City-area restaurant at 8771 N. Ambassador Drive near Zona Rosa and plans an October opening. The restaurant made its first foray into the Kansas City metro in May 2016, with a location in Blue Springs.
