TKC FUN TIME FAIR WARNING: HOPING KANSAS CITY AMUSEMENT PARKS DON'T DECAPITATE ANYBODY THIS SUMMER!!!

Today marks the beginning of Kansas City amusement park season wherein the middle-class play for thrills that include horrible food, dangerous rides and risking skin cancer jostling in long lines with thousands of strangers.

This educational and snarky video is aimed at bigger parks but the same principal applies to our cowtown attempts at outdoor entertainment.

Local news attempts to tout safety this year after a youngster had his head chopped off last Summer but people are doomed to forget everything which is how these parks stay in business and people walk around without crying . . .

Still, there's an element of danger in every thrill ride . . .

Like it or not, it turns out those "death defying" attractions are in-fact not guilty of false advertising given a dearth of regulation that makes them every bit as dangerous as the old and busted highways families navigate to spend their limited time faking excitement with one another.

You decide . . .

  1. Don't forget about all of the FUN of paying insane prices for parking and souvenirs.

Alright folks, leaving the river market to dabble over on the east side. Going to check out prospect and some side streets before it gets dark while listening to the scanner. This is really just free entertainment in KCMO. I'll report back with my findings.

A person is much safer at a theme park then walking down Prospect or Troost after dark.

Oh fuck that I'm not walking down here. Folks I've seen some shit tonight. These side streets off prospect having some block parties. Nobody has their pants pulled up, loud ass music of mumble rap, people just walking around with drinks.

I went down to 35th and prospect where I always hear people getting shot at or around the BP on the corner and sure as shit it's the hangout spot. You can't see this on tv folks. About to make my way back north on prospect to independence avenue then head back home to the safety of river market. Parked at a gas station it's getting sketchy REAL fast as the sun is going down. Multiple armed robberies coming over the scanner already tonight. Reports of gunfire already trickling in. All these block parties on the side streets are filled with sketchy looking military aged males getting wasted. I'm sure it will be another active night in KCMO. This place really is Detroit like that one blogger always says. Wish I had live feed, I think I'll do that some weekend soon.

  6. Bay Area water park closes slides after boy spins off chute onto concrete

A water park in the San Francisco Bay Area celebrating its opening day was forced to shut down some water slides after a boy spun off a chute and skidded onto a concrete walkway.

The East Bay suburb of Dublin, 27 miles east of San Francisco, for years had been eagerly anticipating the opening of the $43-million complex known as the Wave at Emerald Glen Park. But on its opening day Saturday, a photographer for the East Bay Times caught on video a boy sliding to the bottom of a three-story slide, then skidding over a side of the chute, feet first, onto a concrete walkway.

Your van huh 9:33? I dont carry a .44 too heavy for tactical. Besides, its all about shot placement. You sure take this personal. Me driving through these areas finding it entertaining like an exhibit of the unnatural. Bags of trash all over the side street curbs, intoxicated people walking in the roads, prostitutes, gang graffiti, cars with wheels on them worth more than the car itself, groups of males walking around with their pants down to their knees. Abandoned homes, young pregnant women with their bellies sticking out under their shirts wearing shorts too tight for their size, people cruising around blasting mumble rap, etc etc

Saw it all tonight. Maybe I even saw you hanging on the block?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Saw me? Lol,No.I'm home .just watched a crappy game.bout to hit the rack. As for my 44,I can guarantee you it will hit anything & right on target.Anywhere I put that little red dot,I hit.
No sir,you won't catch me on those corners But,there was a time. There was a time.
BTW-All that shit you just described,I know we'll about & am very disturbed by all of it..
    Have a great night,SCS!!

I don't know which one is worse, the loser with the scanner who is bound and determined to regal us with stories from the hood, or the tough-talkin' keyboard warrior who jacks off to Guns-N-Ammo. Both of you deserve each other. Take your worthless asses somewhere else.
