TKC SUNDAY SPECIAL!!! KANSAS CITY INSIDER REVEALS: NEW SINGLE-TERMINAL AIRPORT CAMPAIGN READY FOR TAKEOFF AFTER $800 MILLION GO BOND APPROVAL!!!

The never-ending litany of higher Kansas City taxes and costly pet projects continues as elected leaders are already in the planning stages of another EPIC airport campaign as they ask taxpayers to take on nearly a billion dollars worth of debt in April.

Accordingly . . .

KICK-ASS CITY HALL INSIDERS WARN THAT THE NEW SINGLE-TERMINAL AIRPORT CAMPAIGN IS ON DECK AND ONLY AWAITS VOTER APPROVAL OF $800 MILLION WORTH OF GO BONDS . . . TRANSLATION: KANSAS CITY TAXPAYERS CONFRONT BILLIONS WORTH OF DEBT AS POLITICOS PLAN THEIR 2017 AGENDA!!!

A few items to consider . . .

- The most troubling aspect of the single-terminal airport plan is that politicos are working as hard as possible to keep the decision away from voters and creating FAKE NEWS about Southwest picking up the tab . . . Which is REALLY JUST A LOAN that will get handed back to travelers and taxpayers.

- Quote from behind the scenes: "This is probably more important than all of the bond junk. They (Mayor Sly's Administration and consultants) are primarily focused on the airport and voters are just an afterthought. There is a lot of arrogance in that office. They don't think people will catch on to how much they've been spending and even more money that they're hoping to get."

- Tax fighters are planning to raise a ruckus in upcoming committee meetings BUT the only thing that has held this project back is overwhelming skepticism from the public via local media . . . And THAT why a litany of mean tweets consistently attack the beloved three terminal airport.

Still, supporters of airport renovation are holding out hope that any plan for a new single-terminal gets the scrutiny of voters:

"Go ahead and put it on the ballot. Let's do it in August. I'm confident that voters will always choose lower costs and convenience over the empty promises of this Administration."

And so . . . What Kansas City voters must understand is that APRIL IS JUST THE BEGINNING OF HIGHER TAXES FOR KANSAS CITY IN 2017 and beyond.

You decide . . .

  3. Social media opposition is nice, but if they really want to stop the new single-terminal, they're going to need a REAL opposition campaign.

  9. Most of the people who would profit off of a new airport don't live in Kansas City ans would not pay the higher taxes. Most of the people advocating this...don't live in Kansas City and will not suffer the higher tax.

  10. Exactly right, 7:23. Those who would benefit in a big way from the bond money are willing to spend lots of money to promote it. Those opposing the effort will not gain anything, other than fiscal sanity, if it doesn't pass, therefore they have little money available to organize and counter the other side's arguments. An unbiased media that publicizes both sides might even the odds a bit, but alas we don't have any of those.

    We're getting bamboozled, again.

  12. Thr trolly car and the airport issue will keep coming up and coming up till a complete house cleaning of City Hall takes place.

If you voters approve the 800 million bond look out because the tax robbers at 12th and Oak will fire up another tax increase with pots of gold and rainbows for you all to pass only because they have figured out how to get all the yes votes they want while the real payers of the tax are never heard from.

  13. Important bond issues included on April ballots always works out well for our corrupt local crooks. Low voter turn out is laughed and joked about during planning meetings. Ha freaking ha suckers.

Watch and learn who is running the show.

  14. Most of the bond money will go to build the Airport and to the lawyers.

  15. wait.....is the bond money really largely for a new airport?

  16. Quit being so negative. We all know the score and we are going to beat this airport deal into the ground, rght after turning down the $800,000,000..00 bullshit bond.

  17. Why don't these snowflakes mobilize and do something good by working to kick city hall out in the street? Local government is screwing folks ten times worse than Trump ever could.
