ReplyDeleteKansas City likes to have the big malls (Bannister, Metro North) built only to have them razed.
ReplyDeleteAnother reminder that when the city fathers think something is a good idea folks need to do their homework.
ReplyDeleteThe temporary success of one subsidized "development" is then destroyed by the next subsidized development project.
ReplyDeleteAnd each group of transaction players, the land flippers, bond salesmen, development lawyers, construction companies, and all the rest cash in and move on.
The projects fail financially.
The neighborhoods are burdened with the dilapidated abandoned buildings.
The taxpayers are left with the financial leftovers.
The cycle starts over.
Time for another speech from Sly about income inequality and the minimum wage.

ReplyDeleteWe used to live in kc back in 60 70 80 and 90 s metro north was so much fun. What happend to kc it seems kc has been left behind while city's in Texas have grown and thrived people in kc better vote better leaders in
