KANSAS CITY HOMICIDE COUNT NOW 120 AFTER DOUBLE MURDER AND FRIDAY AFTERNOON TROOST DEADLY SHOOTING!!!

Amid the holiday season and as end of the year approaches, the Kansas City homicide count is now reaching record highs.

Accordingly . . .

THREE MURDERS IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS SPIKES THE KANSAS CITY HOMICIDE COUNT TO 120!!! THAT'S THE HIGHEST MURDER TOTAL FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR IN A GENERATION!!!

Police confirmed that the two deaths last night counted as a double murder.

Friday at an apartment complex in the 8100 block of Troost Avenue a person was shot and killed as the police apprehended a suspect they now have in custody.

And so . . .

A slight warmup this weekend could prove disastrous for Kansas City as our murder count continues to surge.

The rundown . . .

- This is now more than a 20% increase over homicides last year at this time.

- There were only 99 murders last year at this point.

- The KCPD Clearance rate hovers slightly above 50% as a significant number of killings this year were due to arguments raging out of control.

Sadly, while politicos and public officials boasted about a reduction of homicide numbers a couple of years ago . . . This time around there are few politicos willing to go on record about the topic as holiday and sports celebration has earned more comment than one of the deadliest years in recent KCMO history.

Developing . . .

We're way past 116, with 3 more weeks to go.
The count is for sure to climb with the Holidays and all the family get togethers.

  5. Tony, you said there are few politicos willing to speak. Please name one that has said anything on the record. The mayor has not said a damn thing, he only blames the state for the gun laws. He cannot blame a single homicide on the new gun laws. Not a single council person has said anything. Those in the urban core have completely ignored the incredible increase. The Star and news stations have remained silent on the issue. Black churches aren't saying anything at all. At what point will anyone demand answers? The only thing the chief has said is that he wants people to call 911, and that this isn't his problem. This is nuts, and it's being tolerated.

    1. If truth about the reality of the current condition of this community were really pointed out it would set the government up for a class action law suit. Unintended consequences of bad legislation should be exposed highlighted and delt with. America offers no accountability with its own created issues. Which trickles down to partially informed individuals who run off with half truths about reality. Yes the a lot of Gov money has been spent in these communities, however it has no effect on the community when the very people in the community are not participating in any of the processes involved except debt payback. THe city spends 12 to 14 million dollars a year of cdbg funding with requirements to train, hire, and employ people out of the community and unfortunately it never is accomplished. These are the same broken policies across the spectrum for all the governances that have subsidized programs. Then they create false reports on the progress, as if the rules of these communities don't tell the truth. The same policies used to create multi million dollar alternative lending programs and market to the public the intent to open lending opportunities in the urban core, but when asked who those recipients are, have no direct corilation to any people in the community. Then the Yahoo!'s get on Tony's and other media outlets and complain about all the money's being spent in the urban core. The police station at 27 prospect was a 70mil plus project that the city claims had 42% utilization and 22mil in economic interjection into minority business, bs, the reports are bogus and the conditions are not improving. Even the black ministers in the community that are somewhat in economics play by the same tune. This catastrophe will enhance the dept of negativity reflected in the core. I give no tolerance to ignorance, you break the law you pay the cost. But that has to be the same for all. The city hall hrd has issued several million dollars in fines to various developers in the community, that is fined for breaking the law. Yet no one is responsible or taking responsibility for these infractions. Everyone wants to keep focusing on symptoms of greater issues, unfortunately higher homicide and crime are only symptoms of greater pending issues. Yes the have drastic impact, but the will continue and get worse if root problems are not addressed. Even the unions acknowledge results of these disparities. The city the county and the state pay for studies that result in the same findings, yet the recommendations are not enforced are upheld. There is no control of these issues by people in the community, with the exception of the quasi leadership, who advocate and advance thier own agenda. As long as accountability is not raised then the results will keep trending in the direction we're going. Crime reduction in not what the police do. Effective policy is what reduces crime. It seems almost intentional the way things are allowed to keep being done in the community.

    2. Black churches should keep their mouths shut. They arent the voice of the Black community. To believe that is racists. It's not 1959. Black churches dont even play a real purposeful role anymore. They haven't since the 80's. It's that kind of regressive thinking that keeps blacks disabled and dependent on handouts. Pull on your boot straps, people. Let's go.

Getting these thugs off of the streets is just great.

The accompanying crime that bleeds over into Mid Town and ruins business and the city, not so good.

Still, it is wonderful to think that so many thugs are dying. Instead of guns, I wish they would use grenades.

Over a third of Black Lives are ended before they even get born...Planned Parenthood eliminates more Black Lives every month than the KKK has in its entire history.

Let's see what the total winds up being and I'll think about making an estimate for next year.Regardless, until they make a dent in tbe illegal firearms on the street and at least show even an attempt to clean up the gangs it won't happen--- 116 ROCKS!!!

  16. With murder is hovering around 100+ for dozens of years, and a clearance rate of approximately 50%, is all you need to know....

That means there HUNDREDS, literally hundreds of murderers, that have never been convicted, let alone charged with said crimes, running around certain zip codes in KC.

Think about THAT the next time you're sitting a stoplight or waiting for the bus in Mid-town...

G from KC in the STL

PS: It ain't no better here, and I work downtown...

  18. 4:18 it isn't our job to correctly raise our kids. How about some personal responsibility? BTW, my taxes go to subsidize those shit hole apartments right there that I'm sure are Sec. 8. My taxes also allow the same people living there to sit on there ass all day and smoke weed why we all work all day. We as a society have done way, way more than enough for our part. It's time you get an education and properly raise your kids. And by properly raise I mean what other societies consider proper. The way you raise your kids is obviously wrong and has been failing for decades.

I'm not worried about going to the Plaza to ride the horses. Everyone loves and respects me and my University of Missouri genius.
No one would shoot me, simply out of respect.

Besides, over 800 people have been killed this year on Missouri highways and nobody cares, and that's all on my watch.
