Police sources tell FOX 4 that a 13-year-old girl arrived home to find her father dead on the couch covered in blood. It was soon discovered that another man - whose relation to the family is unknown - was also dead inside."

- This pushes the local murder count closer to 120 which would make this the deadliest year of the 2000's for Kansas City.
- There were only 99 homicides last year at this time last year.
- This close to a 20% increase in Kansas City homicides from last year at this time.

I feel bad for the little girl who had to find her father lying in a pool of blood in their home. She will have nightmares for a while. She also must realize that people who look like her murdered her father without warning or explanation of any kind. I'm more worried about the survivor and how she will endure following this senseless act of violence. Another fatherless child is born.
