TKC TOLD YOU SO!!! KANSAS CITY, KANSAS SCHLITTERBAHN SHUTTING DOWN VERRÜCKT WATER SLIDE AFTER TRAGIC CALEB SCHWAB DECAPITATION AND TIDAL WAVE OF TKC BLOG COMMUNITY DEMANDS!!!

We did it.

Or rather . . . YOU did it. Here's the top story for tonight . . .

AFTER MONTHS OF ADVOCACY FROM OUR BLOG COMMUNITY . . . WE WERE FIRST TO DEMAND THE SHUT DOWN OF THE KILLER VERRÜCKT WATERSLIDE FOLLOWING THE HORRIFIC DECAPITATION OF CALEB SCHWAB AND NOW SCHLITTERBAHN HAS ACQUIESCED TO OUR BLOG COMMUNITY PROTEST!!!

Statement from the park . . .

"Once the investigation is concluded and we are given permission by the court, Verrückt will be decommissioned – closed permanently and the slide removed from the tower. In our opinion, it is the only proper course of action following this tragedy. We will, at some point in the future, announce what will be built in its place. We continue to fully cooperate with investigative teams and work with the families, their attorneys and our staff impacted by this accident."

The central figure in this horrific tragedy that ended the life of Caleb Schwab stirred an outpouring of interest for this story that eclipsed virtually every other news item during the late Summer of 2016 . . .

News aftermath . . .

KCTV5: Schlitterbahn will permanently close, take down Verruckt water slide

KSHB: Schlitterbahn KC to remove Verruckt from park

Fox4: Schlitterbahn announces intent to close Verrückt water slide following August death of Caleb Schwab

KMBC: Schlitterbahn will permanently close, take down Verruckt water slide

KCUR: After Child's Death, Schlitterbahn Will Tear Down World's Tallest Water Slide

For the record . . .

Here's our blog community ON RECORD as the FIRST IN KANSAS CITY to demand the shut down!!!

Moreover . . .

DESPITE PUSH BACK FROM KANSAS CITY JOURNALISTS . . . IT WAS THE TRAGIC DECAPITATION DEETS THAT WERE INSTRUMENTAL IN THE SHUT DOWN IN ORDER TO REALLY DEMONSTRATE THE HORRIFIC CONSEQUENCES THE DANGEROUS RIDE!!!

Two out of three TV stations refused to even say the word DECAPITATION but this detail highlighted by OUR BLOG COMMUNITY was the INSTRUMENTAL in relaying the facts of the case while other mainstream media outlets were too timid to report the reality.

You're welcome.

  1. They never should have opened that thing in the first place.

It was a death trap and dangerous.

Shame on them for putting so many people at risk. At least they did the right thing now.

    1. Right thing now ! Are you kidding me ?

  2. It's sad to see the media report this by trying to gloss over the details of what happened.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Bless his family. I hope that they find some solace in this. What happened to that boy was horrible. I hope that something that bad never happens again.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Glad they did the right thing.

  5. Yeah, I'm sure pressure from Tony's Kansas City, Kansas City's best fake news blog, brought them to their knees.

  6. "AFTER TRAGIC CALEB SCHWAB DECAPITATION AND TIDAL WAVE OF TKC BLOG COMMUNITY DEMANDS!!!"
Really Tony? I read each of the news links and not a single one attributed this action to the demands of your blog community. This was a horrible tragedy, and I think you've gotten more than enough mileage out of it. Let the child rest in peace and his family heal and move forward as best they can.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Absolutely disagree that it was the decapitation story.

The star did some great research about the safety procedures, I think that was instrumental in bringing it down.

    ReplyDelete
  8. ^^^ Nobody read this unless they needed help getting to sleep.

  9. BREAKING!!!!

    TKC blog topples towering giant!
Local media critics lose their head over TKC dominance!

(someone left a clue to this announcement in the TKC Biggest Turkey post yesterday)

  10. Wow, they did the right thing and it only took one child getting his head ripped off for them to see the error of their ways. Forgive me if I'm not impressed.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I think we need better safety standards from parks across the nation. That would be the real good that would come out of this horrible incident.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Shame on the media that tried to run advertorials for this park after the fact. Remember all those people who went to the park afterword.

Kansas City crisis actors that took a lot of dirty money.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Such a tragedy?

Why did it take the park so long to do the right thing?

    ReplyDelete
  14. "Yeah, I'm sure pressure from Tony's Kansas City, Kansas City's best fake news blog, brought them to their knees."

Good evening, trolley boy. Still no life.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Whatever the reason, I'm glad they shut it down. There was no way that anybody should have sent their children back on that ride. Give credit to the park, they make the right call.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Lots of blame to go around here.

Don't forget about the delays when the ride first opened.

And the "safety" precautions were just a joke. They should have never put this ride in motion. NO WAY!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Total BULLSHIT Tony!

Should the family peruse this matter they will have engineers, medical records and experts who actually know something who will testify as to causes and effects. Every inch of that slide and it's history will be examined. They don't need your help when they know there is a ton of evidence and the autopsy will provide than adequate evidence of decapitation. There will be a myriad of experts covering every aspect of what happened.

The idea of your fixation on the decapitation helping anyone is such fucking rubbish I can not even believe that you think anyone is buying it. Do you really believe a local yokel blogger can inject himself into this story, try to score "scoop" points, and be helping anyone other than himself? Jesus fuck dude this kind of nutty shit is evidence of a real character flaw. Seriously you want to play, I told you so"?

One more day and sweeps will be over and they can get their awards and pat each other on the back.

  19. I think KMBC also did a really good editorial arguing that the slide should be ton down. Most reasonable people were on the same page here.

At the end of the day, that poor kid is still dead. If we want to prevent that kind of thing in the future, we have to demand more safety from these parks in the future. That is the lesson we must all learn from this.

    ReplyDelete
  21. They FINALLY did the right thing. Thank heavens.

    ReplyDelete
  22. If it had been designed by a University of Missouri engineering graduate, like me, this would have never happened. Geniuses like us, who live off the taxpayer dime in state government, are too smart to make mistakes like this.

    Sincerely,
    Mr. Stoplights

  23. They are moving it to another location and replacing it with a new attraction called the Water Monster Gillotine.

    ReplyDelete
  24. And as usual, no one here has the balls to do anything about me.

    ReplyDelete
  25. thanks for objective truth reporting

    ReplyDelete
  26. "Water Monster Guillotine."

    Lol. That's harsh.

But how much do you want to be that people would actually go and ride something like that. America is getting to be a strange place nowadays.

    ReplyDelete
  27. God rest the soul of this poor child. Now that the holidays are coming we should hold each other close and realize that we are all part of the same human family. Instead of fighting over who is right and wrong, we must ask ourselves how can we live peacefully with one another.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Never mind that there's a boy dead.
    I think it's a terrible tragedy.
    Going to never be forgotten.
Great to see it torn down.
    Everyone will remember this.
    Really no other choice.
    Still, it's better this way.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Wow, TKC's blog sure did, just like how the opposition to the streetcar was decapitated right?

    ReplyDelete
  30. My heart goes out to the family. What a horrible tragedy that was completely avoidable. All amusement parks in Kansas City should be committed to ensuring the safety of their visitors!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I want to see substantial prison time for the owner / operators. They clearly ignored safety issues repeatedly. There's no way they both weren't aware of the ongoing problems and also were told by engineers how dangerous the design was.

Naturally the whole issue of the negroes working the ride, well, Tony continues to ignore that well-reported aspect

Negroes shouldn't be allowed to work in any position where the safety of a human life could be compromised.

  32. The little dead kid was one of four. The family did not pay for admission to the park. They were there for free on some kind of political day. The dad was not in office long. Raising four kids in Johnson County takes Ca$h. Go fund me doesn't pay for everything. Now they only have 3 kids, and that is at least somewhat affordable. Not much legal grounds for ca$h when you don't pay to be admitted to a place. They acted all happy at his funeral, I saw it because it was on TV.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Wow, not just a douchebag, but a dumb douchebag at that. It doesn't cost admission to go lots of places, so if a major accident, including a fatality, occurs in one of those places do you think the victim or their family can't/won't sue?

      Delete
  33. You heard it here first. TKC told you so! Needs the little person saying shut it down picture.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Long prison time, that's an idea. Here is another one.

Put the a$$holes that designed and operated this decapitation machine on the ride one at a time. They can make the experience part of their depositions. IF THEY SURVIVE! Either way put the video on LiveLeak LIVE.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Such a shame that this happened to the family. The park did the responsible thing in shutting it down and we should look more critically at these thrill rides before they are built.

    ReplyDelete
  36. ^^^ Absolutely agree.

    ReplyDelete
  37. 11:03 P.M., you're a dick. Cold. Heartless. And a DICK.

    Oh, I forgot: IDIOT.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I still stand by my comment. Yes, they can sue. Yes, the ride is unsafe. The little dead kid is worth probably a million max. The live grown age of majority people injured in the accidents have way over a million in damages and on-going medical expenses. Live beats dead anytime for payout. Anybody can sue anybody for anything. They had plenty of kids, they had one to spare. Ten bucks says this guy will run again on the sympathy vote. You heard it here first. Cold and heartless? no, just real, really jaded.
