TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY TOP 5 COMPANIES THREATENED BY PREZ-ELECT TRUMP!!!

Once again our blog community is forced to deliver bad news for Kansas City biz because local media remains shocked at the outcome of the election and refuses to address the new reality that confronts the fragile local economy.

To wit . . .

WITH HELP FROM LOCAL BIZ INSIDERS AND BACKED UP BY HEADLINES RIPPED FOR RECENT NEWS . . . CHECK THIS LIST OF THE TOP 5 KANSAS CITY COMPANIES CONFRONTING HARSH TIMES AMID THE TRUMP YEARS!!!

There are some major employers on this list and it's important to document the impact of Prez-Elect Trump before PR newspeak the MSM.

Take a look:

KC Southern Should Fear The Proposed Trump Mexican Border Crackdown

Kansas City Southern's Shares Plunged 14% upon the election of Donald Trump and right how the local rail juggernaut is doing their best to put a positive spin on their biz that's heavily leveraged on open borders and Mexican rail. Nevertheless, more than any other local company, this KC Southern will face a much rougher biz climate if Trump builds his wall and cracks down on international trade as he promised.

Ford Already Suffering From Trump Biz Crackdown Rhetoric

Prez-Elect Trump has long targeted Ford and their biz practices. Just this week . . . He's still using the company as a punching bag as the Claycomo endures hard times and an uncertain future selling its oversized truck at all.

New York Times: Donald Trump Takes Credit for Helping to Save a Ford Plant That Wasn't Closing

While locals might celebrate keeping jobs in the United States . . . That policy hurts shareholders and the stock price. Trump targeting the automaker has already impacted the company's public image as they do their best to bend to the will of the incoming Administration.

H&R Block Targeted By Trump

Serious people and stock analysts forecast this Kansas City employer facing a rough time with the new Trump tax code . . .

H&R Block's stock tumbles after analyst downgrade on concerns over Trump policies

The stock is down 33% YTD most analysts are sour on the company.

TKC REMINDER: TRUMP PROMISED TO PUT H&R BLOCK OUT OF BUSINESS DURING HIS CAMPAIGN!!!

Supporters might attempt to explain away his comment on this Kansas City company in the heart of Downtown but attempting to translate the Prez-Elect is impossible and given that he has no legislative experience, there's no other option than to take him at his word and/or tweet.

And then . . .

Cerner Confronts Uncertain Future Amid Impending Obamacare Repeal Championed By Trump

Earlier in the week we wrote an extensive feature on the crisis that Cerner is confronting amid the Trump years.

More importantly, with the stock at a 52-week-low and trending downward . . . It's clear the market doesn't think much of their chances battling the Trump Administration in spite for their current week-long employee carnival against cancer or whatever they're calling the conference of scared workers.

Finally . . .

Trump Hates Amazon Despite Their Upcoming Kansas City Hiring Spree

Amazon is building a shipping center in KCK that promises to bring 1,000 new jobs to the area.

However, their leader is a longstanding enemy of Prez-Elect Trump . . .

In May of this year, Trump said he believes the company has “a huge antitrust problem.” At the time, the comments were interpreted as backlash to unfavorable coverage by the Jeff Bezos-owned newspaper The Washington Post. Trump had threatened antitrust and tax investigations into Amazon’s business in the event he was elected President.

Accordingly . . .

LIKE IT OR NOT, PREZ-ELECT TRUMP HAS TARGETED ALL OF THESE KANSAS CITY COMPANIES AND THEIR ONLY HOPE IS THAT THE NEW ADMINISTRATION FAILS TO LIVE UP TO ITS PROMISES!!!

In the meantime, local media and so many PR hacks are busy trying to gloss over and dress up the tough talk of the campaign while so many Trump supporters wait and see if the new President will live up to his word.

Developing . . .

Better title: Trump is bad for busienss.

What we need for all these companies and Trump is a cooling off period and a moment to move forward as a country. If Trump is smart he will extend and olive branch to these business people and American industry as a whole. I hope his supporters will see that as a smart move and not a sell out.

The danger here is that we can't get past all of this infighting and we move straight to the 2020 presidential campaign before the man even has a chance to take office.

When Trump breaks his promises he's going to have a hard time finding the same kind of support he had for the election that he lost.

As long as the sock guy's business and the "artist" who lies on the floor in a body bag aren't affected, KCMO will continue to hold its claimed position as the business and arts capital of the US.
On what obscure website's list is KC on the top of this week?
Besides having over one-third the number of murders as New York City, that is.

Wow so now you're playing business reporter? awww that's adorable. look at him gather facts and act like they mean something when strung together. it's cute.

maybe this afternoon you can play mechanic or storekeeper.

Hey 8:09, go put on your safety pin.

I expect the businesses will manage pretty well given the past 8 years. What is truly the dilemma is whether we can drain the drama queen bullshit out of Toneeee while we are draining the swamp.

Bob said...

This is not news. National policies always affect businesses in some way. Some profit, others don't. Obama's tenure was certainly good news for lots of rent seekers (Solyndra et al.) as well as companies who donated big to the Party. Had Clinton won, the Clinton Foundation would have billions by now.

Anonymous said...

Yeah Ford made $2 billion net in 2Q 2016 so they're really suffering, boy you nailed that Tony.

hahaha

I'd buy stock in companies that specialize in deporting Mexicans and Negroes.

The business that is really has the most exposure, is The Federal Government. It produces nothing and yet it's employees average $120,000.00 a year with benefits. The average private sector employee, averages %62,000. The Federal Government, IS a business in the strict sense of the definition, although that is sans the necessity for Profit. The Federal Government's employees, want better benefits, Promotions, raises, more job security and most importantly, they want to see their company grow, in order to provide that same sinecure. In order for the Federal Government to provide those benefits, it must regulate more, increase hiring to enforce those regulations, influence higher ups in the company they work for, The Federal Government, to arrogate more and more of the private sector (For example Health Care) unto the suzerainty of that same Federal Government. The Bureau of Land Management, must have control over farms and private property, the EPA must have the unilateral power to regulate, even, the size of ponds on private citizen's land. The length and breadth of power over Americans in all walks of life, MUST be increased and broadened. THIS is the "product" that the Federal Government has for sale in America.

THE FEDEERAL GOVERNMENT PRODUCES NO RETAIL, DISTRIBUTION, MANUFACTURED OR USABLE PRODUCT, IT SELLS THE IDEA OF CONTROL TO OTHER MEMBERS OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, WHO ARE SUPPORTED BY THOSE WHO ARE DEPENDENT ON THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BY WAY OF MONIES, JOBS, ACCESS, POWER AND INFLUENCE. TRANSLATION = DEMOCRATS AND THOSE WHO VOTE FOR A LIVING.

Again, the business with the most exposure, is that business that lives in the "Swamp". The Federal Government.

We will see how Trump does, when he goes to war with this brobdingnagian and irresistible force.

You might keep in mind that the single largest employer in the KC metro is government of one level or another.
Look at downtown KCMO.
Federal Building, State offices, county, and city, and all the associated hangers-on.
That might be the real news locally.

The KCK Amazon deal was created in a backroom deal where most projects framed to screw tax payers are enacted. Lies to tax payers and promises of big $$ to a few. Different day, same shit in KCK.

Commissioner Kane attempted to spill the beans at the last city council meeting, but decided that keeping his ass was more important.

Gutless, greedy cowards, that's who running the show.

City Hall corruption is in trouble. We can see this by lack a visibility of Mayor Sly James who has basically disappeared so he can work on legacy.

Cerner stock took a hit when Trump was elected, but now climbing back well.

a great KC company!

For fuck's sake. Chuck, take a goddamn poli sci class at JCCC and learn about the purpose and function of government. The role of government isn't to "sell a product" or set up a fucking brick and mortar retail store (though you seem to forget that the government does actually sell weapons to our allies which knocks down your entire idiotic premise but whatever). You clearly would like to see the EPA get shut down (for what is almost certainly an asinine reason) but how about the CDC? The U.S. Forest Service? The Department of Transportation? Do you think private industry is going to rush out and put a stop to a public health crisis? Do you think private industry is going to rush out and try and stop a forest fire? Do you think private industry is going to rebuild every bridge and highway? No, no, and fucking no. Private industry does not have any specific reason to ensure that society functions other than a functioning society buys shit. The government does have an interest in keeping a society functioning. Do you want a functioning and stable society? Then deal with the fact that there systems and bureaucracies for a reason and quit acting like the EPA is trying to control you.

We are all now painfully aware of your lack of nuance "for fycks sake".

I am speaking 10:51 to the dramatic, unecessary and unwarranted Government over reach that permeates the Fed and strangles us all in regulations and a galactic surfeit of bureaucracy.

"For fuck's sake."

Hey "Chuck", what federal regulations are "strangling" you? Serious question. Please name.

chuck said...

I could go into great detail with respect to the IRS and my experience with Government regs when I owned and worked for various companies. What's the point? It's the same story many of us have had.

Look. 10:51"s implication is that the Fed, in general, is populated by unbiased, altruistic, good stewards of the people's interests. Over the last two or three decades, that premise was in question, but somewhat defensible in the Progressive/Liberal echo chamber that makes up the American zeitgeist, that was promulgated by the 4th Estate and politicians from the left.

What we have seen, over this election cycle, is that the worst fears of conservative Americans were categorically proven true. That the corrupt, lickspittle MSM, in conjunction and collusion with the Democrat Party and the Federal Government advances only Liberal causes with few exceptions and engages in obscene, nefarious and illegal actions to further those causes. This is Fascism. The efforts for a one party oligarchy - meritocracy, accompanied by sinecure for those elites in power, aided and abetted by those who VOTE FOR A LIVING and will use violent Brown Shirt tactics to suppress Free Speech, the Right To Assemble and express divergent opinions is an open sore, an excrescence on the American Body Politic that no one, not even the fuckin New York Times can now deny.

Federal employees outnumber manufacturing employees in the US, at 2 to 1. The pretense at this point, that the Federal Government is NOT out of control and engaging in deleterious actions which are counterproductive to a thriving economy and society is preposterous.

Said the guy who gets free health care for life through the VA.

Right chuck? Isn't that right chuck? Vietnam right? The war we lost?

I see why we lost now. The VC heard chuck whining.

Anonymous said...

That's right Chuck, the VA is a perfect example of the bureaucracy working for you.

I think.

It runs like a well oiled machine. No complaints.

Anonymous said...

Fuck you clowns a vet getting the VA care that was part of his agreement to serve is NOT free or a government handout. Just becasue you cunts doesnt to got to war and then forget that you have to pay the bills doesn't give a fucking one of you the right to blame a Vet for accepting what he is owed.

Spend as much time bitching about government handouts to those who just mooch. Just look at the free housing, free medical care, free education, free food, free clothing, tax exemptions, tax breaks and free medical care, even free internet provided non working moochers and illegal aliens and then stick your chest out when a veteran demands the services he is owed based on his agreement to sacrifice his life if needed.

Sounds to me like you pussys need to be bitching about another class that most of you PC bitches just happen to be to afraid to speak out against.

Earlier this year, Ford announced an expansion of its Mexican manufacturing plant so that was something any smart politician would jump on. But the article you link here Tony, is only talking about meeting current mandates of fuel consumption and greenhouse gases. Something so far Trump has no control over.

Simplify the the tax codes is something that might put a lot of people out of business not just H&R Block. But that is a move that many taxpayers could get behind if Trump was to make the tax system nice and easy for the taxpayers to understand. This is talk that has been around for sometime not just something Trump dreamed up.

Amazon has drawn attention for some time simply because it's owned by media King Jeff Bezos who owns as well The Washington Post the main rag for Washington DC and surrounding area. The post is well known for their attacks on Trump and made it well known of their support of Hillary. But one thing for a long time that Amazon did was do business and not collect sales tax in many states. I for one think sales tax are important part of our tax system and should be collected by all companies who sell products to customers in a said given state.

Cerner has been raping the taxpayers right and left for sometime now, reaping huge profits from us and now it looks like maybe the gravy train is going to take a hit. Remember all the tax breaks they got and what did you the citizen get in return. higher costs for medical insurance is what. Sort of okay, the neighbor got a job at Cerner, but you're are now paying $500 dollars a month more for your families health insurance. Can you really sit there and think that is a great deal for you?

To make our country healthy again I am sure some sacrifices will have to be made. But in the long haul if it's done right the majority of the citizens of this country will benefit from it. Remember, Trump isn't a politician, he is a business man. I said for years even dating back farther than to Ross Perot running for president, this country needs business oriented leaders running our country and not the good ole boy bar associations that look over our counties lawyers who become politicians. Rose Perot has a quote I have always liked, "The activist is not the man who says the river is dirty. The activist is the man who cleans up the river."

President Elected Donald Trump did say he was going to drain the swamp, so lets see if he does indeed clean up the swamp.

Anonymous said...

Chuck, you disappoint me. Not even one regulation you can point to as "strangling" you? Just a reference to the IRS? Pathetic.

As for VA care, it sucks precisely because it is free for the patient. And 1:39 pm, unless you were drafted, you got exactly what you were asking for.

Anonymous said...

Veterans are the worst when it to freebies and gibmes. Almost as bad as negroes though nobody is worse than them obviously.

Oh, speaking of smelly swamp gas, hi Stupor Dave!!

end of story.

Simple Dave said...

Donald Trump mm-mm-mm-makes me happy!

Anonymous said...

Super Dave makes some great points you idiots. chuck is right, our government is too fat with worthless employees.

Anonymous said...

Mr. Trump's actions so far thrill me as well. He's surrounding himself with good WHITE appointees who know Job One is first diluting, and then eliminating, the "role" of the negro in governing our nation. Completing that task is essential to getting the country back on the right track.

I say "role" facetiously of course. They have played no useful role unless you count taking everything, giving nothing, and destroying all they touch!!!

If you are so interested in my anecdotal stories of war with the IRS (Lois Lerner should be in prison, by the way.), local, state and federal governments over the years, I can't help ya. They are boring, mundane, predictable and in no way any different than what many if not most of the readers on the blog have experienced.

My life wasn't interesting enough to strangers to ever pen a memoir, so, you will just have to deal with it. If you think me not going into personal details of conflicts with these agencies is pathetic. What the fuck do I care? It would take thousands and thousands of words to convey the minutia of these conflicts, so, if you are thinking of penning my auto biography, then go for it.

It won't sell, but you sound like you need a hobby.

By the way, nice post Super Dave.

CHUCK: MY STORY
By Chuck M. Lowe

Chapter 1
The Early Years

When I was young my dad told me "You must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children." I have lived by those words ever since.

THE END

Bob said...

Veterans are not, without more, guaranteed lifetime medical care. There are priority groups, and care is rationed by group. If there is not enough money for a particular veteran's group, he/she does not get cost free medical care.

My personal view is, veterans without a service related medical condition or disability should not receive lifetime cost free care. When tough budget choices have to be made in the near future, that might be on the table.

Sly will rubber stamp Cerners request for taxpayer subsidies for their North KC project.

When it will become a full taxpayer bailout is a toss of the dice at this point.

Dipshit, the new Cerner request is for a building in North Kansas City, not Kansas City.
