Amid a bloody year when the Kansas City, Missouri homicide rate is at a nearly 10-year-high for this time on the calendar . . . The voters of Jackson County approved the longstanding anti-crime COMBAT tax which is more of social safety net for just about every activist and out of work politico in the metro area.
The final tally:
75% Yes
25% No
And don't forget the tax had another two years to pass if voters wouldn't have pushed it through this time around.
Developing . . .
If anyone wonders why Jackson County is deteriorating so rapidly they only have to look at the Combat vote.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the few dark splotches on an otherwise bright new day.
ReplyDeleteCrime is at a 10 year high. Obviously COMBAT is money well spent. No wonder this city is so fucked financially. Wasting money like this for shit that either doesn't work or isn't needed.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame. Voters are stupid.
ReplyDeleteThe new tax payer purchased pamphlets should be just what we need to end the drug wars. I am so excited.
ReplyDeleteCOMBAT does good thing's..It literally saved my life about 10 years ago.
