Fact of the matter is . . . For most people on Kansas City streets, it doesn't matter if the old guy wins or the young guy continues his meteoric rise up the social ladder . . . Politically, neither one of these guys has done much for this town . . . TKC readers were looking forward to a good slap fight and all we've seen so far is a gun trick and connections to similarly unlikable politicos. The lobbyist slap fight was kinda fun until Kander quickly backed down on that front as soon as the Blunt camp got serious and brought Diana into the mix.
As for the newspaper . . . They seemed doomed to tow the party line in this close race where their support could alienate more people than they convince from a town that would rather see the guy who held office locally for a couple of years pull off an upset.
