TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! KANSAS CITY DENIZENS FEAR TOY TRAIN STREETCAR SUSCEPTIBLE TO ATTACK AMID HIGH TENSIONS!!!

Given recent racially charged shootings throughout the nation and the persistence of terrorists who are now attacking soft targets all over the world . . . There are growing questions and concerns about the safety Kansas City's prized transit scheme.

Here's a related rail transit headline that deserves a bit of attention:

Zero Hedge: Axe-Wielding Afgan Refugee Shot Dead After Slashing 14 People On German Train Screaming "Allahu Akbar"

A note from our blog community . . .

"TKC, with any delusional person able to walk onto a streetcar for free, caring whatever they please, this is a frightening possibility for Kansas City . . ."

A few supporting facts . . .

- The Streetcar is the Kansas City transit dividing line ... Any potential attack would be focused against tourists and biz people and not lower income workers who mostly take the bus.

- Speaking of the bus . . . Let's not ignore the fact that violence aboard Kansas City bus lines is commonplace, shootings happen frequently and riders are pretty much on their own in terms of safety . . .

- To be fair, just like the Plaza, there is an overwhelming police presence aboard the streetcar. However, those cops seem to be there mostly to deal with the hobos who would overrun the toy transit line if police weren't aboard to chase them away or at least remind them to keep moving.

Accordingly, our top priority in this post is keeping everyone safe as racial, terrorist and political threats increase amid this Kansas City Bloody Summer 2016.

You decide . . .

Comments

  1. Not to mention the damage that it's doing to KC's pocketbook.

  2. On the bright side, if the KC trolley is attacked no travelers will be harmed. Unlike commuter trains in the Boston to DC megalopolis, which are equally vulnerable.

  3. They always mention the airport and a possible threat but nobody ever talks about the streetcar. Look at the Europeans and the Israel, terrorists often attack trains and buses first because they aren't as secure as airports.

I think the more important question here is: What are we doing to protect people on the streetcar in the face of growing threats?

THAT is the issue that should be addressed!

  5. I heard streetcars attract bears! BEARS!

  6. Why is there no talk about more comprehensive truck control laws? Any jihadist and rebel of daesh can get their hands on a u-haul and mow down people in places such as the plaza. Trucks are a serious threat, along with kitchen steak knives.

  9. And the bus isn't just as susceptible? According to you and your ilk there would be more people to kill on a bus. And I don't think a driver asking for $1.50 to be inserted into the fare box is going to be much of a deterrent to a well-armed crazy person.

  10. Geez, what do you have against public transportation?
    Are you a car salesman?

Truth is does not matter where you are, if your time is due it is due.

  15. I think the streetcar is poorly conceived but a possible attack is probably #10032 on my list of concerns

  16. Please do not contact the Kansas City Atheist Coalition for their opinions or a statement on this matter.

They have nothing whatsoever to contribute.

    Thank you.

  17. The streetcar attacks KC's general fund without anyone knowing it. That's the biggest danger.

  18. If you keep repeating the phrase "radical Islam" we will all be safe.

  19. ^^^^ Keep acting like terrorists don't pose a threat. Turn off the news, bury your head in the sand.
