If you go to "Next Door Waldo" on the internets, you can read all the complaints about the increase in crime. What is hilarious, is, that this is a very Liberal Neighborhood, so you will get flagged if you describe the race of the criminals.
Waldo IS America. De-nutted by political correctness and whining about crime, with out the courage to describe the criminals and who they are. Kind of like out pussy president who is afraid to associate Islam with terror.
By the way, NONE of these folks are going to get a gun, so it will only get worse. The cops are NOT coming over here to check out car-break-ins.

^^^^^^I don't think anyone is disagreeing with you. There was a string of robberies in Waldo earlier this year led by a white man in his twenties. I think the point people are making is many overly sensitized people object to describing a perp as black or African-American when it's obvious that's what he or she is--even when there is video of the crime.

Failed to be mentioned are the large number of homeless people that have moved into the area of concern. They use the Trolley Track Trail to get around so they are less visible. The Aldi at 75thSt leaves their trash bins open so they have a source of food. They sleep and hang out in Sunnyside Park and set up camps in the woods of Oak Street Park and the city's Land Trust property south of 85th St. The camp sites all being connected to the Trolley Track Trail. One can find things they take scattered along the trail. Call the city and they just pass the buck. They need to maintain and clean out the woods of Oak Street Park and the Land Trust property on a regular basis but it's hard enough just to get anyone from the city to respond to this need. Meanwhile their numbers grow with the crime rate.
