TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! JACKSON COUNTY PROSECUTOR MEAN JEAN PETERS BAKER FIRES BACK AGAINST KANSAS CITY PRIEST ANGRY LETTER!!!

Jackson County Prosecutor "Mean" Jean Peters Baker probably surprised a South Kansas City priest who called her out in a recent letter when she answered his remarks.

Normally, politicos don't take community leaders to task about their statements but in a bold move the JaxCo Prosecutor recently moved to challenge Fr. Gregory J. Lockwood about his remarks.

Also, proving that OUR BLOG COMMUNITY LEADS THE LOCAL DISCOURSE . . . Our Sunday Special on this topic clearly resonated throughout the metro and the Catholic community around the world.

Now . . .

CHECK OUT TKC FIRST WORD ABOUT THE JAXCO "MEAN" JEAN PETERS BAKER ANSWER TO A CATHOLIC PRIEST REGARDING AN ANGRY LETTER CALLING HER OUT!!!

Kansas City Insiders tell us: "Love her or hate her, it is clear she doesn't back down from a fight . . . Especially when kids are involved."

Here's the word FIRST on TKC:

Kansas City Insider: "Okay... Mean Jean doesn't back down to pissed priest... Rumor is that Mean Jean was surprised and upset a member of the cloth would send out such an inflammatory and inaccurate letter to his church. So she tried calling and when he didn't answer she sent a letter to his church too!!! Correcting his errors and reminding him that "No one is above the law, no matter our position or title."

Now, this letter is floating around Catholic churches in Kansas City and this is the FIRST excerpt in fairness and because we were the first to excerpt Fr. Lockwood's letter too.

We talked to Catholic Insiders about the response letter as well and they remind us that Fr. Lockwood was friends with Bishop Finn so the tone of his letter is likely personal and powered by the very close ties he has to the situation. We'll have more on that later . . .

Meanwhile, this continued sparing with the Catholic hierarchy is unprecedented for a local elected official and reveals that Prosecutor Peters Baker is serious about defending her reputation and her prosecution of Bishop Finn.

This one isn't for TKC to decide only report FIRST and leave up to God and then our KICK-ASS TKC BLOG COMMUNITY to a somewhat lesser extend. Natch.

  1. She ain't kidding. This was more than just a bold move, you should have called this truth to a higher power TKC. We'll see how this one plays out.

  2. Good for her that she basically told him to shut his fucking pie hole.
He is free to say what he wants. She is free to tell him that he is full of shit.
    Welcome to America.

  3. I think it is clear that Lockwood was probably locking wood with Finn. Not to mention all that educating of young boys he does without pants.

  4. I still want to understand the Catholic mindset that when presented with evidence that a priest is committing a crime their first thought is not "we need to call the police." even now they set up some committee to investigate

  7. Yes, TKC is right on top of every pissing contest in KC!

One would hope that the Jackson County Prosecutor would have more to do than engage in such contests with people who disagree with her, but it also looks like she is in a "thin skin" contest with Clay Chastain.

What's she gonna do now? Take a page out of Chastain's book and threaten to sue anybody who says mean things about her?

And no, 7:15, Father Lockwood's letter does not represent the "Catholic mindset." It represents Father Lockwood's opinion, and only his opinion.

That Tony thinks that this pissing contest is some sort of major news says more about his news judgment and his desperation to break some story, any story, that is not already all over the real media than it does about the newsworthiness of this story.

But hey, anything to get clicks and comments in the dying world of vanity blogging, right Tony?

  8. Of course, the punchline is that the case has been removed from the record. Finn was never "convicted" to begin with, he was "found guilty" of a misdemeanor and never sentenced. It has since been removed from his and the public record.

To say that Finn was convicted was never accurate. To say now that he has a "record" is no longer accurate. In short, it's as if it never happened.

This is a laugh. Who has more power? The Jackson County Prosecutor or the pastor of one of a hundred Catholic parishes?

  15. Interesting, but Tony did get a copy of Lockwood's letter, but can't get a copy of Mean Jean's letter, so he relies on an single, anonymous "insider" source to tell us TKC readers -- in very vague general terms -- what it said.

    Brilliant reporting, Tony!

  24. Wonder why leadership at Christ the King wld adamantly defend pedophile cover-up shill like not-a-bishop-anymore Finn?

Maybe there's a history of collusion there that most Catholics in the SW corridor know abt...like maybe a questionable transfer from a neighboring Parish in the wake of an abuse accusation?

The reason the Catholic Church is getting "singled out" is not because they abuse more kids than other institutions, it because EVERYWHERE ELSE when this shit happen ppl ostracize and punish the offenders, but the Church engages in cover-ups and enabling. Not even convicts tolerate that shit. The Catholic Church, especially it's hierarchy and the preisthood, is basically an elaborate dating service for gay pedophiles and has been for centuries.

  27. 10:11 wake up. I'm not sure if your fantasy reality is something you made up for your own reasons or are simply listening to some other idiot. Finn did not cover up for a pedophile. He was never charged with that nor was he found guilty of that. Nor did he ever move people around who were credibly accused.

Your comment that, "they abuse more kids than other institution" has been proven false countless times. Insurance companies say that abuse claims are similar across all denominations. A famous study by Charol Shakeshaft showed that kids were 100x more likely to be abused in a public school. You are correct though that 90% of the rare accusations against priests involve homosexual activity - another problem that the Church has made improvements in in recent years.

  38. Oh yeah, right. Cause that's what they have always done!

Good grief, the response of school districts when one of their own gets caught is to quietly fire the guy, then say nothing to the next place that he goes to for a job.

What's different these days is the parents, not the school district, are calling the cops.

  43. Wow. This is now a front page story in the Star? Are you kidding me? Since when is a small parish pastor sending a letter to his parishioners front page news in the Star?

Oh wait... it's a Judy Thomas byline. So Mean Jean writes a letter that reads more like a candidate flyer and her friend Judy puts it on the front page of the Star practically the same day.

Her connection to the Judy Thomas PR wing at the Star all but confirms the suspicions that the guilty verdict was a negotiated one as several lawyers have opined. Mean Jean gets her PR win in an election year and the diocese avoids a million dollar defense bill.

And when anyone tries to expose the SNAP/Randles/Thomas and apparently Mean Jean cabal they must be dealt with lest the gravy train be disrupted.

How dare Fr. Lockwood try to set the record straight?

    ReplyDelete
  44. What many of you may not know is that Father Lockwood is a married priest. He was a Lutheran clergy member, and was ordained in STL. He is married with children, and I have to say has no idea what the vow of celibacy is like and really shouldn't comment on 2000 years of church history when he has been Catholic for less than 30 years.

    ReplyDelete
  45. 3:05 - 30 years as an adult. Following your logic, no priest or theologian under the age of 48 should comment on church history either.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I don't think Jean came off good in this letter. She's a lot more like a publicity hound. Why would you go out of your way to set the record straight on a parish newsletter? Guess she must be desperate.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I always love the excuse these deviant catholics give to justify their kiddie-diddlers: " our pedophiles are no worse than the public school pedophiles. "
    These are some twisted fucks.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I think the bigger question is why doesn't anyone do something about the public school problem since it's up to 100x worse?

Like it or not, every Catholic church and school website has links and numbers of who to call if you suspect anything. You can't even be a student summer camp counselor without going through abuse prevention training.

Where is this same info on any public school site? What programs do their teachers and staff go through? Where is the media pressure to do so?

This isn't about taking the light off the Catholic Church, it's about adding a light where there is a huge problem.

    ReplyDelete
  49. WTF kind of drugs are you on 2:45?
Your comment: "all but confirms the suspicions that the guilty verdict was a negotiated one as several lawyers have opined".

You dipshit, it's no secret that the "guilty verdict" was plea deal negotiated by the prosecutor and Finn's attorneys and agreed to by Finn!

I don't celebrate the bishop's resignation. But you, Lockwood and others keep espousing this tin foil hat conspiracy theory bullshit. On the wacko meter Lockwood's letter ranks right up there with cardinal Burke's statement that altar girls are the reason the Catholic church doesn't have more priest vocations.

    ReplyDelete
  50. If it's no secret that the guilty verdict was a plea deal negotiated by the prosecutor, then why does the prosecutor continue to pretend otherwise? In her letter to Lockwood today in the Star she is quoted as saying, “On September 6, 2012, a Jackson County Judge heard the facts of the case and found him guilty of that charge.”

So if the verdict was a deal, what was/is the agenda for making it appear to be something else? And why go on a very public crusade to "clear your name" when Lockwood's letter appears now to be confirmed as accurate?

    ReplyDelete
  51. 3:10, correct, you have to be at least 49 to comment on church history.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Since "church history" pretty much exclusively lies and make beleive, shouldn't you be able to comment on it when you are 5-8 years old an living in a fantasy land of invention and free play anyway.

  53. She's stil a "hottie". Yummy.

  54. She is a nasty, evil pro-choice political dictator who is highly selective in her enactment of "justice" in this community. Her letter is nothing but political theater and an example of further persecution of the Catholic Church by secular, liberal Democrat leaders in the community.
