TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! FACT CHECK: NORTHLAND COUNCIL CANDIDATE JAY HODGES PARTS WAYS WITH AXIOM TO RESERVE CAMPAIGN FUNDS!!!
Here's FIRST news and an important development that our blog community is checking before hack political pundits and the rumor mill make this into something that it's not.
Northland 2nd District At-Large Candidate Jay Hodges is no longer using Axiom as his campaign consultant. That decision was made about a week and a half ago and it has nothing to do with media spin, ranting about "civility" or Jeff's Big Texas Adventure.
To wit . . .
TKC STOPPING MEDIA SPIN BEFORE IT STARTS: JAY HODGES ISN'T USING AXIOM BECAUSE HE'S GUARDING HIS CAMPAIGN WAR CHEST AND CUTTING COSTS ACROSS THE BOARD TO RUN HIS OWN ELECTION EFFORT!!!
Here are the facts to counter the rumor mill . . .
- Mr. Hodges hasn't hired another consultant. He really is running a bare bones campaign and word is that he's using an old school flip phone burner for his campaign party line.
- He's still friendly with the Axiom guys say Kansas City Insiders and they probably will give him a bit of advice anyhoo.
- If Mr. Hodges was reacting to recent "civility" controversy generated by politicos and hack pundits . . . Then he probably would have called a press conference in order to win brownie points.
Now . . .
THROUGHOUT THIS ELECTION AND BETTER THAN ANY OTHER MEDIA OUTLET IN KANSAS CITY . . . WE LET THE CANDIDATES SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES RATHER THAN TRYING TO SPIN THEIR MOTIVATION!!! HERE'S AN EXCLUSIVE QUOTE FROM MR. HODGES!!!
Jay Hodges said . . .
"The truth is, Patrick and Travis are great and they have been a valuable asset to my campaign. But it's a choice between eliminating a couple of mailers and other things I need to do or staying with them right now. Don't get me wrong, if I win the lottery then I'm going right back and, realistically, I'll use their services in the future."
Now, Mr. Hodges has been participating in politics for 20 years so he's not exactly unskilled when it comes to the art of campaigning. However, this bit of political news is important in order to fact check most of the agenda driven "reporting" out there before it starts pushing this story as an alleged victory when it really speaks to the challenges that many candidates have when it comes to fundraising during this low interest Kansas City silly season.
Developing . . .
This one bill be rough but maybe not as rough as 4th district between Shields and Glover. THAT is the one that will get nasty real quick TKC.
ReplyDeleteIs Jeff Roberts (1st At Large) also using Axiom?
ReplyDeleteHe can't afford Axiom.
DeleteYep. Axiom did him so much good, he got outpolled by Loar only 2-to-1 instead of 3-to-1.
ReplyDeleteKeeping his ass covered.
ReplyDeleteNot wanting to spend money on a hopeless cause.
ReplyDeleteStill waiting for Tony to wise up about Clay Chastain.
ReplyDeleteSo far, after all those months of pimping Chastain's candidadacy, all we get after he finished a dismal third to General Lee is one sentence:
"Kansas City's top transit activist was handed a heartbreaking loss that still probably won't impact his petition prowess."
It is probably too much to hope for that Chastain will finally STAY out of town. After all, he's not even getting the attention his ego from anyone except Tony, and maybe he'll wise up to how much that is worth.
But then again "Chastain wising up" is an oxymoron.
Is this guy going to give us a toy train?
ReplyDeleteIs Jeff Roberts (1st At Large) also using Axiom?
ReplyDeleteHe can't afford Axiom.
DeleteIt's two months till the election.
ReplyDeleteDrop it already.
Seriously. I'd rather read about Toni Bones at this point then have to endure another day of CK political bullshit.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to put it to rest with a good laugh just read Yael T. Abouhalkah's latest column today.
ReplyDeleteWhat a freaking piece of work that dude is.
Yael should transfer to the Stars social gossip department.
ReplyDeleteAt least Yael uses a few facts. Not:
ReplyDelete"Word is..."
"Say Kansas City insiders..."
"Probably would have..."
Them's WEASEL WORDS.
Amazing how Yael still manages to be sycophantic and useless without these tools.
DeleteYael - Lord of the Rubes.
ReplyDeleteLMAO!
Yael's fluff was fine back in the 80's and 90's but in the age of terrorists, knock out games, drive by shootings and rolling gun battles he sounds like a total moron.

ReplyDeleteCK's very own Anderson Cooper wanna be.
Okay I'll sit in for Tony during his all daily siesta.
ReplyDeleteWill Ferrell in a tiara, Lady Gaga in sunglasses, Brad Pitt with that million-dollar smile. Some celebrities stood out in a crowd even at their high school proms. Did you?
Siesta's for all!!!
ReplyDeleteTCK Dope Fresh Special Edition!
That makes sense. I always wondered what Tony does from 9 to 5.
ReplyDeleteOnce again, Axiom and that Fat Fuck Jeff Roe prove their lack of worth. It doesn't matter if the "Fat Man" is in
ReplyDeleteTexas or wherever, the slob can't deliver the goods. Fuck that fat bastard, Roe.
Axiom took an ass-kicking yesterday, and Tony has been busy making excuses all day.
ReplyDeleteIt's a BURNER PHONE, not a phone burner.
ReplyDelete"However, this bit of political news is important in order to fact check ..."
ReplyDeleteTony, when have you ever "fact-checked" anything before rushing to put it on your blog?
"it really speaks to the challenges that many candidates have when it comes to fundraising"
Yeah, I'll say that a candidate who finished second in a two-person primary by a 2-1 margin is going to face some fundraising "challenges."
Long siesta today.
ReplyDeleteThe Kansas City Election Board reported 12.01 percent turnout
ReplyDeleteScary
I just saw video of a bobcat catching a shark and you expect me to care about the difference between a phone burner, a burner phone and a boiler maker
ReplyDeletePoor little pathetic douchbag - step aside son and let the big kids run for office.
ReplyDelete20 years in politics? Wasn't this guy the mayors driver?
