Over the holiday season we've documented an important Kansas City dust-up over horse-drawn carriages on the County Club Plaza.
Tonight we've even got word of UPCOMING ANIMAL RIGHTS PROTEST RAGE and a bit of DIVISION BETWIXT FACTIONS in the Kansas City animal rights community.
Here's the word from one of the AWESOME TKC ANIMAL LOVING ACTIVIST TIPSTERS . . .
"Tuesday Jan. Dec. 23rd Peta and their local supporters will be BCBG Maxazria, 422 Nichols Rd, Kansas City, MO at 12-1. More than half wear animal products and still eat meat."
And while our blog is all about infighting . . . It's Sunday and we'd like to focus on compromise.

They are working on collecting signatures and spreading the word about why horse drawn carriages are outdated for today's world. New York is in the midst of banning their horse drawn carriages and that is why KC is trying to follow suit. Carriage horses are out of place in the plaza's congested streets and belong to another century when there were far fewer vehicles and pedestrians. When hansom cabs are mixed with cars, taxis, buses, pedestrians, bikes and emergency vehicles – fire trucks, ambulances and police cars – they are a recipe for disaster. For both people and the horses alike. As for the "animal rights tipster" above who stated that "Tuesday Jan. There was a good turn out and many people turned away from BCBG after hearing about their cruel practices from the vegan activists.
