TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! FEARING MORE KANSAS CITY ACTIVIST FERGUSON PROTEST: SUBURBAN FAMILIES SKIPPING PLAZA LIGHTING CEREMONY!!!

Kansas City late night protest in solidarity with the Ferguson uprising has been loud, abrasive and not exactly non-violent.

Our blog community has documented arrests, a bit of vandalism and direct confrontation with police from more strident activists in a rage over the shooting death of Ferguson, Missouri teen Michael Brown and the subsequent failure to indict by a grand jury.

To wit . . .

TOP ECHELON TKC TIPSTERS AND FEARFUL FAMILIES TELL US THAT THEY'RE SKIPPING THE PLAZA LIGHTS IN ORDER TO AVOID CONFRONTATION WITH ANGRY KANSAS CITY ACTIVISTS FOR FERGUSON JUSTICE!!!

Like it or not, there is a cost for social justice and once again the Plaza is paying the price for so much racial division in Kansas City, throughout the Midwest and the nation.

Normally, TV news estimates 100-285 Million people at the Plaza Lighting ceremony (or something just as ridiculous) . . . Expect those numbers to be WAY DOWN AMID KANSAS CITY ACTIVIST PROTEST FEAR!!!

The word from one TKC blog community denizen:

"No way I'm taking my wife and child into a dangerous situation like that. Thank you for showing the reality of the arrests and how easily the protestors were able to make their way through the Plaza. That was the key factor in my decision. I know the police are doing their best but I don't want to risk the lives of my family or just spend money in order to have a protestor spit in my face or insult my support for Officer Wilson. Plain and simple, I don't want to get into it. Why bother? I can attend the Lighting ceremony in Zona Rosa (tonight) and make a new tradition rather than enduring Michael Brown nonsense."

KCPD have promised to keep control of local streets and mounted police along with authorities in riot gear did provide a show of force.

Sadly, we've confirmed with organizers that their expectations for attendance are GREATLY DECREASED for this year's Country Club Lighting Ceremony . . . So expect that MSM newsies will only declare 3 million people in attendance or some other made-up number.

The reality that no other media outlet will report: Mostly peaceful but still angry, divisive and strident local social unrest in solidarity with Ferguson also keeps suburbanites away from Kansas City's urban core.

Developing . . .

Media outlets have to back up their reporting. They'd actually talk to the organizers and get their names, because they'd surely be glad to speak to a legitimate news outlet.

But as sure as the days are short, and chuck is a pig, tomorrow's headline will be

SHOCK!!! TKC TOLD YOU SO!!! LOWER ATTENDANCE AT PLAZA LIGHTING CEREMONY AS SUBURBAN WHITES STAY AWAY IN FEAR AND TERROR!!!

But you won't be able to back THAT headline up either with anything factual.

    I mean, why start now?

  22. Let's get real. The Plaza Lighting Ceremony is one of the most over-hyped events in this city if not this country. You can watch it on TV at home if you're really in need of something to do, and this will save dealing with parking, crowds, the weather, and all the other hassles endured by many who have no lives.

I support the grand jury's decision, but if there were some excitement at the ceremony, at least that would make it a little less boring than usual.

ALL white people boycott Plaza Lighting ceremony as angry black protestors storm the stage and begin an impromptu hiphop concert!

Performers line up and compete against each other to see who can say "nigger", "bitch", "motherfucker", "shit", "hoe", "fuck", the most times in the allotted time period! During intermission, those holding a GED or equivalency certificate will be encouraged to add it to the bonfire.

Extra points awarded for those wearing the approved official thug rapper uniform.

Sly James will present the winner with a key to the city.

Police Chief Forte will give the runner-up a horse ride around the Plaza and let them shoot off a few rounds into the air.

    HAPPY THUGSGIVING KANSAS CITY!

  25. I support Officer Wilson and was pleased the jury had the good sense to render the right verdict.
That being said, I think Tony is majorly exaggerating about this "fear of the Plaza lighting event." The fact of the matter is a lot of decent people have been avoiding the Plaza now since long before the Michael Brown nonsense even started. The Plaza lights are nice, but hardly worth the traffic, chaos and riff raff that invades the area nowadays. Like others have suggested, if seeing the switch flipped is meaningful or exciting to you, tune in from the warmth and comfort of your own home.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Fuck the Plaza. White people stay home and in six months the place will have 2 Subways, a McDonalds, an Arcade, dollar movies, cell phone kiosks and a crack dealer on every corner. Why fight the experts on this. Let the shit bags have it. Move to the burbs and fuck the pick pocket city.

  27. The media's estimates of lighting ceremony attendees are almost as realistic as Tony's count of "protestors".

  28. #8 The Washington Post has documented that Attorney General Eric Holder had been in direct contact with Governor Nixon and had expressed “frustration” with the fact that the National Guard had been activated…

A top aide to Holder called the governor’s office earlier this week to express Holder’s displeasure and “frustration,” according to a Justice Department official.

“Instead of de-escalating the situation, the governor escalated it,” said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak on the subject. “He sent the wrong message. The tone of the press conference was counterproductive.”

#9 Firefighters in Ferguson did not immediately respond to calls to put out the multiple fires that were set by protesters. As a result, many businesses essentially burned to the ground. But this did make for some amazing television footage.

#10 In the worst of the “war zones”, journalists with cameras and microphones were crawling all over the place while there were hardly any police to be seen at all. How is it possible that law enforcement could have failed so badly? Could it be possible that this was orchestrated on purpose?

Sadly, as I have written about previously, the civil unrest that we are witnessing in Ferguson is just a small preview of what is coming to America.

The anger and frustration that are seething under the surface in this country have reached a boiling point. Instead of coming together, we are seemingly more divided than ever. Americans have been trained to hate one another, fear one another and blame one another. I fear that we are not too far away from actually becoming ungovernable.

And when the next major wave of the economic crisis strikes and we start experiencing real suffering in this nation, the temper tantrums that we are going to witness in our major cities are going to make what is happening in Ferguson right now look like a Sunday picnic.

So buckle up and hold on, because it is going to be a really bumpy ride from here on out.

Ferguson is not the end – it is just the beginning of a horrible new chapter in American history.

  30. I was planning on going and taking my daughter, even after the Ferguson decision. Then a friend's father-in-law, who is a KC police officer said that they're calling in extra police for the lighting ceremony. He asked us not to go because he's concerned for our safety. If a KC police officer is concerned, I'm heeding his warning and staying home.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Why would anyone in their right mind go anywhere near the plaza the night of the lighting ceremony? A giant cluster fuck and your car will probably get broken into. The lighting ceremony is for rubes, tourists, assorted nimrods and douche nozzles. If the temps below 40 the protestors number will be halved, mostly made up of white clowns in guy fawkes masks and bad anarchy symbol tatts. Rage on against the machine!!! and get next to some fuckin soap.

  32. If I was Eric Holder I'd stop trying to play governor. Hell, he have enough scandle inside the Justice Department to keep him busy, but for some reason he doesn't do his job - just arm chair quarterbacks others. If that stupid fuck had a better answer for stopping the looting than the national guard I'd like to know what the genius had up his sleeve.

  40. 8:31 is the prototype thug scum. When they show up in a neighborhood, you are fucked. By the time they leave for newer Section 8 free housing, supplied by hard working white Americans, there is nothing left to do, but asphalt over what remains. If he and his family stop back by, they will then, yep, you got it, fuck up the asphalt.

His baby mamma dresses out at about 295, the same as Michael Brown, but not as hot.

He has 9 kids, just like Alonzo, with 9 different hefty ass "Strong Black Women", who are masters and manipulating the system for freebies from Whitey.

  42. Don't worry, CCO has got your back. Why do you think they've been here since Occupy. It's there job to make activist frustrated and give up. They called an action to march on The Plaza this morning and left the three people standing in the freezing cold waiting for an action. Of course thousands of activist have told CCO to fuck off along with their PICO trainers before this started.

Unfortunately I agree with 7:35 on this, but I blame the media that takes incidents like this, hypes one side of the story (after more than three months, we're finally hearing the officer's story), makes it a narrative on the entire country, emphasizes how a minority is "kept down by the man," etc. It almost makes me question the wisdom of freedom of the press. If a right is abused it often gets lost. At this point the media are to freedom of the press as yelling "Fire!" in a crowded theater is to freedom of speech.

  48. I have lived here for 60 years now and have never gone to the lighting ceremony. No I wait and go enjoy the lights at a later date when I don't have to deal with rude assholes who think the whole event is all about them. As well I laugh at the people who run to see the lights who then never shop on the Plaza to help the shop owners who pay for all these lights you like to look at but don't feel inclined to support in any way. Besides they flip a fake switch anyway whoopi. I'd go if it was a real knife type switch that arced sending out sparks everywhere and made people piss the pants when the lights came on. Now that would be entertainment.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Now the Plaza lighting is nothing less than a celebration of how the Chinese sold a boatload of LEDs. Fuck the hype. I'll watch it on TV and do without the bastard kids elbowing me in the nutsack, spilling hot chocolate on my shoes, damn near pissing my britches from standing there in the cold, listening to some washed up lounge act from the 1970's Holiday Inn circuit, having my car keyed. having some mouthy flat foot barking at me and watching the thug worshipers show their ass. KC wouldn't know the Christmas spirit if it bit them in the ass.
