Mayor Sly James of Kansas City says he will ride out rough patch
Here's a round-up of Mayor Sly's decline as Kansas City's favorite politico and the challenges that confront him.
So far the Mayor has been PUSHED BACK on . . .
- Ambulance Service Billing Outsourcing i.e. Privatization
- TOY TRAIN STREETCARS
- KCI AIRPORT
- The story mentions demolitions but nobody really cares about that . . .
Another interesting item gleaned from the story . . .
Strange to see political consultant Steve Glorioso standing up for Mayor Sly . . .
“I am aware of polling where his job approval is still around 70 percent,” Glorioso said, adding that James probably has more support than Barnes or Emanuel Cleaver did at this point in their first terms.
We've talked about this polling as well and most of it seems to come from the fantasy land of toy train streetcar research . . .
Check out the story for yourself . . . TKC COMMUNITY WORKAROUND . . . Simply bringing up Dead Tree Media Stories in an "incognito" tab will bypass the paywall.
More importantly . . .
EVERYBODY IS IGNORING THAT THERE'S NO LONGER ANY LOVE FOR MAYOR SLY IN THE NORTHLAND!!!
We should have mentioned this yesterday but let's not forget . . .
TKC EXCLUSIVE FACT FROM A KICK-ASS INSIDER:
"Last election: Sly lost the Northland badly. 35.35% in Clay; 30.1% n Platte"
Now, in fairness, Mike Burke is from Platte County so there was a bit of an advantage there . . .
Since the election, things have only grown worse for Mayor Sly across the bridge . . .
NORTHLAND NEGLECT AND THE GROWING OPPOSITION TO MAYOR SLY IS KEY TO VICTORY . . . LIKE IT OR NOT, THE MOMENT MIGHT FINALLY BE HERE FOR A KANSAS CITY NORTHLAND MAYOR!!!
You decide, do you still love Mayor Sly as much as you did on election day???
Developing . . .

All I know is Sly must GO. Sly is a bully.
ReplyDeleteNot enough voters to overcome the corruption of Freedom Inc and labor unions in Jackson county
ReplyDeleteHahah final outcome the fat bowtie nigger wins in a landslide!
ReplyDeleteSly's only supporters are 317 downtown voters who stated the streetcar mess.
ReplyDeleteGoodbye Sly!
ReplyDeleteHe'll get no suport from the eastside. Its been proven he's a hostess cupcake... Black on the outside, white on the inside
ReplyDeleteHell NO is Sly James ever going to get his megalomaniac self back in government after we throw his ass OUT. He has proven to be a first-class ASSHOLE who is only interested in padding his contributor's wallets and NOT advancing the interests of the public.
ReplyDeleteNext election will be a real test of how stupid KC votes have become. If they buy 4 more years of Sly's PR and BS, look for more civic decline and acceleraton of the exodus to JoCo.
ReplyDeleteDoes Burns & Mac need another attorney?
ReplyDeleteNorthland neglect? How about basic city services neglect all over--even south of the river?
ReplyDeleteSly needs to dump his band of merry hipsters and get out more among real people--like the ones who don't rely on subsidized rent and actually pay taxes.
We the people have spoken. But the mayor and city council are not listening.
ReplyDeleteHe walks, he talks, he crawls on his belly like a reptile!
ReplyDeleteYou can see him back peddling on everything stupid that he has promoted...until the city elections come and go next Spring. Then, he will turn on Kansas City like a vicious animal and proceed to jam his agenda down our throats. He's a lying politician.
ReplyDelete10:28 you are being redundant. Why bother saying lying politician?
ReplyDeleteFunk garnered votes in the northland. True, trailer trash but those votes won't go to James.

ReplyDeleteThe public won't forget this streetcar bullshit - EVER. So Sly, you might as well be working on re-entering the practice of law and leaving the public sector.
ReplyDeleteThe only reason James didn't get many votes in the Northland, is that there simply aren't many niggers who have infested that part of Kansas City yet. Give it five years or so and they'll fuck that up too...
ReplyDelete8:14 (first post) nails it. Slyme's biggest fan is Slyme and that's never a good indicator of someone with the public's best interest in mind.
ReplyDeleteWonder if the public will remember the streetcar when the next series of cities build transit, revitalize their cores and surpass us in importance, economy and livability, and we continue our wind-sprint toward being the new Wichita?
ReplyDeleteSly James supporters: Burns and mac, and millennial hipsters.
ReplyDeleteOh and a few other special contractors.
Glorioso looks like a old Ray's Playpen cock gobbler.
ReplyDelete2:55,
ReplyDeleteYeah that and 75% of the rest of KC voters.
Cofrans supporters so far are
1. a couple right wing shills who work for a StL billionaire who is helping his buddy Mayor Slay apply for federal transit matching funds right now,
2. a failed lawyer whose home sits on ATA right of way,
3. the cunt from Armour Hills Homeowners Association who is mad that the city won't maintain her neighborhood associations fountain,
4. a couple cranks who think businesses and non-residents should vote,
5. a gun nut who got kicked off his homeowners association in Northeast for trying to buy spy cameras to spy on Mexicans,
6. a hipster cartoonist and
7. the smattering of tea party retards in brookside.
Coalition of the delusional. Sounds potent.
Oh, gee. Another of Mensa boy's bad loser comments. Nebraska is calling, 2:36.
ReplyDeleteHe's still pissed that he couldn't get a date. That resume needs some work, Mensa boy. Passed the Mensa test, alienated more than half the population of a city with 465,000 people, called my opponents "cunts," after losing the streetcar vote openly advocated not improving east side bus service asserting the existing buses were "good enough for the east side," demonstrated my vast knowledge of the city I was elected to serve by (1) wearing my Mensa pin to each and every function I attended, (3) mentioned that I was in Mensa at every opportunity, and (4) continually confused Armour Hills with Armour Fields, etc.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah. That will impress..., well no one.
there never was or will be support for sly in the northland.
ReplyDeleteYeah 6:22 was the clown who supported the streetcar tax the poor and give to the rich scheme. What douche, stay losing mother fucker!
ReplyDeleteImpressed 55% of people in the central city and over 50% of people in the Southwest corridor (who would have voted for the streetcar, too)
ReplyDeleteSorry, Dan, Steve, Pat, Sam, Marsha, Sherry, Mike, Bryan and Sue.
You can buy off freedom and hoodwink the hoodrats, but the real city wasn't swayed.
See you in April, dipshits.
