  1. Time for the council to rubber stamp another emergency loan.

  2. Why does Kansas City have a law department? Isn't it's purpose to avoid these kinds of things? It's just too easy to "settle."

  3. Actually the time to avoid paying out the big bucks is before stupid decisions that turn out to be illegal are made. But no one pays a whole lots of attention to how things are actually done in KCMO government, especially when it's necessary to have the guts to make the right decision in the first place.
Easier to let people do whatever they want and end up paying for it later.

  4. How Schulte manages to avoid culpability on this is the answer to the question, "just who hired this guy in the first place?"

  5. The merger of MAST to the city started under Funkhouser and Wayne Cauthen.

  6. Paul Berardi was the deputy chief over EMS when these decisions were made.

  8. Just like KCK taking the ambulance over was to SAVE taxpayers money (while sacrificing quality care) In the end the tax payers have lost and now the union morons who backed the mergers are losing too (and you deserve too!)...Way to go DUMBASSES!!!

  9. Why is anyone who made this decision still employed by the city? You make a 2 or 5 million dollar mistake in any other workplace and you get fired.

  10. Perfect, give them a nice little bonus for suing the City, they lee their jobs, benefits and we will make sure we pay their pensions with all the damn taxes they get from a few of us.
Do we ever get good news from City Hall? Time to think about moving to Kansas.
