A great many Kansas City denizens are familiar with the work of Bishop Tony Caldwell.

He lived on the roof of a house in the cold in support of the homeless.

The Bishop & Co. promised to help keep the KC Metro bus system safe after several driver assaults.

He recently spoke out against the spiking use of PCP in the metro.

But the recent Kansas City Ambulance billing outsourcing hot mess has piqued the interest of more than a few City Hall Insiders because of Bishop Caldwell's involvement . . .

TKC WAS THE FIRST TO NOTE BISHOP CALDWELL'S PARTICIPATION IN THE PETITION DRIVE TO BLOCK A KCFD AMBULANCE SERVICE OUTSOURCING PLAN BY MAYOR SLY AND CINDY CIRCO!!!

And now we've got a bit more perspective on that POWER MOVE and the implications of the Bishop's foray into politics.

A City Hall Insider seyz: "Bishop Caldwell has been a POWER PLAYER for awhile now and this move to collect petitions to block Mayor James and Circo will put him on the map throughout the metro. Political consultants and community leaders are going to have to take notice if the Bishop and his volunteers are successful in their efforts. Over the past few years the Black Clergy has experienced a waning of their political power but Bishop Caldwell's community based volunteerism has the potential to reverse that trend . . . In any event, mixing social justice issues with local policy has always inspired people who are far more dedicated than most."

And once again, it's a Citizen Initiative Petition that could spark another strong political career and offer a check to the status quo @ City Hall by neighborhood denizens and a RISING STAR LEADER in Kansas City's urban core.
