TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! CITY HALL INSIDERS FEAR NEW KCFD OUTSOURCING SCHEME COULD RAISE KANSAS CITY AMBULANCE BILLING RATES!!!
Behind the scenes Mayor Sly and City Council continue to work toward a deal that would outsource KCFD ambulance billing services despite some serious objections from insiders.
And now . . .
EXPERTS FEAR THAT KANSAS CITY AMBULANCE RATES COULD SPIKE IF THIS OUTSOURCING DEAL GOES THROUGH GIVEN THE TROUBLED HISTORY OF THE COMPANY THAT'S POISED TO TAKE OVER KCFD JOBS!!!
This isn't just speculation and gossip . . . There's a patter of corporate behavior here that presents a clear and present danger . . .
First off . . .
- Recently, in Chicago, an Intermedix subsidiary was reportedly using municipal insiders to set up a sweetheart deal that really didn't benefit residents.
- Once again, we want to point out serious EMS billing problems with the new parent company that could soon take over in Kansas City.
- And here it is . . . Not so long ago, a subsidiary of Intermedix that took over billing in Chicago resulted in quick move to consider raising rates.
And so . . .
THIS OUTSOURCING DEAL IS ONCE AGAIN GOING TO SCREW WITH KANSAS CITY AMBULANCE SERVICE AND COULD SPIKE PRICES FOR RESIDENTS!!!
What's worse here is that Mayor Sly, Cindy Circo and some Council members are pushing this deal but aren't being very forthright about WHY . . . Instead the Mayor has simply insulted KCFD workers and relied on bullying tactics to get his way without much though to local government transparency.
Developing . . .
Better title: don't get sick in Kansas City.
ReplyDeleteA company using a city hall insider to set up sweetheart deals?
ReplyDeleteNever in KCMO!
How's the $12 million contract with the water department to improve "customer services" coming?
We are losing millions because of the incompetence of those billing people. I have seen it first hand. Ambulance service is basically a free ride for most.
ReplyDeleteAnd I will feel sorry for city fire department workers when a damn fire truck stops showing up along with an ambulance for every call.
Cambiano needs to stop running a protection racket. I thought the mob was dead in KC?
Sounds like the Mayor's PR department is up early. Wonder how much money it would save to outsource those 9 jobs?
ReplyDeleteFire Jockeys vote !!!!
ReplyDeleteI suppose the Cindy Circo Orgy Pictures being circulated by certain members of Local 42 did not put her in a good mood.
ReplyDeleteThe KCFD is out of control we MUST do something
ReplyDeleteMAST did in-house billing. Non emergency transport paid the bills. We will have to pay for the same thing. Can't fire fighters count beyond two? (As in 2 breasts) I am sure they can if they really tried. Or how about rolling that into city hall? Why outsource our enterprises? We need the money. Sly James is bankrupting us at an astounding rate. Thankfully he is just like Funkhouser, a one-termer.

ReplyDeleteIntermedix paid nearly $71,000 to a lobbying firm
ReplyDeleteto get the contract in LA.
How much did they pay Polsinelli's Peter Levi
to funnel into Sly's pocket for this deal??
This is all city halls fault! Troy Schultes pockets are getting fatter.
ReplyDeleteSly hates KC! 凸(¬‿¬)凸
ReplyDeleteDumbest council EVER for keeping that POS Schulte as city manager.
ReplyDelete6/16/14, 8:48 AM
ReplyDeleteNot as much as Sanders gave to Levi on the fake transit plan.
Everything else in the world has gotten more expensive. So I would expect the price of ambulance services to go up as well. It's pretty basic, people. If nobody pays the bills but you are required to provide the service, those that *do* pay will subsidize those that do not. Further, the city charges non residents the exact same as residents. So you effectively have local taxpayers subsidizing ambulance services for out of town people.
ReplyDeleteFew other cities in the metro do this. Most offer a significant discount to their tax payers and residents, charging non residents much more. In KC, non residents get to ride the coattails of residents.
How much is it worth to Sly and Troy?
ReplyDeleteIntermedix corruption in Chicago ⬅︎ LOOK!
resulted in a City Hall indictment.
Read the story, there is no connection between the billing company and the indictment in Ohio of a former Chicago employee. More scare tactics and lies! Whoever is putting out tho stuff should be sued.
ReplyDeleteSure. Oh, and you can also cite a tipster source and connect it to a Big Foot sighting.
ReplyDeleteAnother opportunity to spin up hater posts would be Tony Gwynn's passing.
Tonys KC. Local equivalent of the National Enquirer.
No connection 11:19? The company Sly and Troy are so hell bent to outsource these ladies jobs to is the same company that paid off Chicago politicians for the contract!
ReplyDeleteThe mob isn't dead in KC. They just took over city hall and Sly seems to think he's the boss!
ReplyDeleteCindy Circo should go to jail.
ReplyDeleteWhen you have to say "this isn't just speculation and gossip," that's not a real big selling point for the rest of your content.
ReplyDeleteIncreasing ambulance billing would be disproportionately RACIST on it's face. We all know who will and will not pay up.
