SHOCK!!! KANSAS CITY GREEDY CEO PAY STAYS WINNING OVER NATIONAL AVERAGE!!!

Here's an interesting note regarding the upcoming American class war.

Recently, broke-ass media watchers raged over this headline . . .

Median CEO pay crosses $10 million in 2013

Just now, the KC Biz Journal noted an important fact . . .

KC Biz Journal: Top CEOs in KC see bigger raises than national leaders

Deets:

"The salaries of Kansas City's highest-paid CEOs are climbing faster than the largest companies nationwide. The top 10 highest paid Kansas City executives' total compensation (including salary, stocks and awards) increased by a median of 6.74 percent from fiscal years 2012 to 2013.

This is higher than the median pay increase of 5.5 percent for executives of the 300 largest, publicly traded U.S. companies, according to the The Wall Street Journal's annual compensation survey."

To wit . . .

CELEBRATE!!! TURNS OUT KANSAS CITY CEOS ARE EVEN GREEDIER THAN WE EXPECTED!!!

Not that it makes much difference to the average broke-ass TKC reader but it's important to justify goofing off this afternoon AND this fun fact doesn't apply to the many corporate denizens who are going out of biz thanks to China just like everybody else.

  5. There's a lot more money in corporations to spread around, although not very far from the top, when the taxpayers get to pay for all the new buildings you build and you don't have to pay those pesky property taxes to support schools, roads, and other basic services that you and your fellow CEOs use.
    Thanks elected cowards!

  10. Everyone could have more if everyone participated in the game of life. Most people are robots and demand no more than what they have in life because they feel thats all they are worth, then you have people who buy tons of materialistic things that make them feel some sort of worth yet they actually really dont so really I plan on hitting a few Chinese joints in the next week to get that fortune cookie to clear it all up. I will let ya know.

  11. More concerned about my tax dollar paid CEOs. Like the $500k paid to EDC and tourism cronies.

  12. I find the populism hilarious. CEOs make too much money...but we need to spend God knows how much to lure better football/baseball players and coaches to KC. They are all part of the .1% but only the CEOs get the outrage.

  13. 6:40 I am sure the game commissioners, managers and the coaches are included in the CEO bracket. You must be a CEO so calm down.

  15. How come Dem's never bitch about professional athletes or Hollywood star salaries?????

  16. Good point 8:10. How would Sean Penn or George Clooney feel about paying taxes on their next picture at 90%? How about the NBA players paying 90% of their pay?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Why does everyone paint this as a conservative or liberal argument? People with unlimited wealth buy the policies and law they want rather it is good for the 99% or not. That is what we should be concerned about, not whose side they are on. There are countless studies about the shrinking of upward mobility. That is bad for America, period.
